Recoils like a subcompact though. Its crazy my wifes MP Shield has less recoil somehow than this gun .

@@RedEyePergoi know exactly what you mean. The shield has some sort of recoil reduction magic. I have never shot anything near that size in 9 that has that little recoil. Even the M&P full size has more than the shield. Unfortunately I am left handed, and to my knowledge, they do not make a left handed shield plus. A true tragedy

I know it’s been 11 months since this question posted but yes. I have both the compact and the compact pro sd and the threaded barrel doesn’t bother me as much as it use to but you notice it if your trying to stay as compact as possible, bending or sitting etc.

I own a pdp 5in full size odgreen and 4in compact. Both have been fantastic with 2000rds through each of them. 💯 reliable. Both stock. I just added C&H low witness sights and halosun 507c x2 green optics. 5in runs the tlr1hd and 4in with tlr7a. Congrats.

I have an IWI massada slim 3 1/2 in as my carry 400.00 and change will hit 6" plates 50 yds. with a shorter trigger break. I also have 3 of these and I like them Trigger break to long out of the box.

Sorry last one: to big for carry holstered unless open carry. Its uncomfortable at 5" it's a lot of gun. I went to the IWI massada slim 3 1/2 " 400.00 and a great gun also, and easier to carry all day, Also great trigger break.

Best 9 mm I've ever had out the box. Let me give you some advice I've got one the four and a half inch barrel and I upgraded to the threaded barrel and I have a jccy compensator but it doesn't have too much rise and I've considered taking it off I did buy the tungsten guide rod and then later switched to the Ben Stoeger system the three spring guide rod which is super cool I like it a whole lot I've been bought the Ben Stoeger kit that has a replacement spring for the plunger for the firing pin or the striker should I say, and it's got a different trigger spring. I then bought the Walther performance trigger my Walther that has a whole new Fire Control System and everything in it it made a huge difference it's a flat-face trigger it's not plastic it's aluminum. All those things combined aside from the guide rod which had nothing to do with this but the Ben Stoeger spring set for the plunger spring that goes in the slide and has to do with how tight the pressure is to plunge the disconnect for the striker firing pin and I changed that and then like I said the Walther performance trigger upgrade Dynamic trigger upgrade the two combined brought the trigger pull down to like 2.3 lb I don't remember exactly but it was amazing difference from the roughly 5 lb pull it came with from stock. In fact it's almost so sensitive that I had to get one of those security holsters that has the three little doodads you got to you got to push on in a certain order to get the gun to pull out cuz I'm not about to blow my weiner off with the soft trigger on a carry gun but I honestly use it more for target shooting it's it's almost competition level after that trigger upgrade and it's a polygonal Barrel which makes it crazy accurate or at least it seems like it's more accurate than regularly rifled barrels and pistols of used before. As far as my normal carry gun I use a CZ. But even before I put a Green Dot on that gun the PDP we have arranged that has like crazy distance setups it's on 181 acres and it has 1,000 crazy distances like that which is push and a half mile and but there's a 200-yard pistol range with steel Silhouettes at the back and using a brace by either resting my arm up against the wood on the side of the lane at this shooting range or using a bag I can hit the the steel at 200 yards away without any trouble at all and if I wasn't so shaky cuz I've got a bad left side knee actually it's more up in my hip if I wasn't so shaky on my feet I'm sure I could freehand that no problem and I actually have free-handed it but it was like one out of eight shots before I hit it but from a bag it was no problem I had people at the range trying to sight in there like AR-10s and we're tripping because I was sitting there with a pistol ringing steel and they were like damn but they were also very interested in what I was using to do that with. The main reason the AR-10 guy wasn't hitting his Mark was because he didn't have the gas setting on his rifle set correctly at all it was way over gassed and as you know that can affect accuracy but you can't tell people advice and arrange generally they don't really want to hear it most of the time, especially if they're already frustrated and I can relate to that too but man I completely agree with being thrilled to get your PDP and get out to shoot it. I love taking my pdp over to the shooting range it's always fun. It's interesting you don't find a whole lot of Walter Fanboys but I think for the money not just the PDP but Walthers in general are every bit as nice as any HK or other German gun and they're at a good price point and I actually think they're better than HK certainly not any worse but they fall several hundred dollars less and I personally don't like how the HK feels in the hand mama something about the grip is weird to me. Thanks for letting me get my two cents. And don't even get me started on Glocks do not like Glocks their triggers out the box suck, they're not very forgiving in my opinion, and to make one a really cool pistol you got it likes pay another six hundred and doodads to make it great and that MOS system to mount red dots just sucks and it's weird how adamant The Fanboys of Glocks are even when there's obvious issues they just don't admit it. But anyway nothing against any other person into the Second Amendment I'm down we're all brothers and sisters trying to get the government out of our Lives we share all that in common so what gun you have doesn't matter. I wasn't trying to shame the gun as much as point out how the shortcomings of some guns are just overlooked despite it being in people's face. And that's not a gun issue that's a people needing to do a reality check issue. Walther PP full-size great gun

Depends on your needs -- do you want something comparable to the Glock 19? Get the 4" compact. Do you want a full size duty pistol? Get the 5" full size. Do you want the duty grip with a smaller upper to support bigger magazines better while keeping a compact upper? SImilar to the Glock 45? Get the full size 4".

I have a heavily modified PDP, PDP Pro and a Macro. The macro is my carry and shoots really well for it’s size. The cons are it’s hard to get all 17 rounds in until the spring breaks in and after a few mags the pistol gets really hot. But it’s smaller and much slimmer so it’s my EDC The Walther feels better, the triggers are worlds apart and the Walther looks better. The PDP Pro adds a flared mag, threaded barrel and even better trigger than the PDP. They’re all great but for carry I prefer the macro bc I hide it better. I shoot both Walthers better, they look better, feel better in the hand and the triggers are so much better than the Macro

I totally agree I have the PDP full size, it is excellent just so smooth I personally when target practice and use it more than my h&k 45 I the PDP is unbelievable, plus they come with 18 shot clips, hands down the best 9mm out there
