+Justin Opinion I have them on my Shield and my Kahr PM 9. I've never tied the the rubberized ones, only the Textured gritty ones. My one negative with the granulate grip, it does tend to hang up on clothing.

Also, the granulate does discolor a bit. The rubberized ones are SEXY though. haha

I used your video to install my talon grips today and it went very smooth and feels great. Even the ones for the magazines have the little slits cut into them at the fingers and that helps placing them that much easier... I have (3) 7 round (2) 8 round and the one 6rd.

I have Talon grips on almost all my pistols one of which is a PPQ. Love'em and not expensive at all. That PPS M2 looks nice and you can pick them up for about $300.
@ironhorse1279 жыл бұрын
When disassembling pistol, only move the slide back an 1/8".just enough to relieve pressure on take down tabs. You wont need to touch the trigger for reassembly. A little nuance of the pistol. Free advice. Lol. Thanks for posting the video.
@JustinOpinionChannel9 жыл бұрын
+ironhorse127 I'll try that, thanks. But wondering how that makes a difference as it is the trigger bar against the firing pin safety block that is the problem, and that is positioned when you pull the trigger to un-cock the striker. But I'll verify. Won't be the first or last time I've learned something!

I recently purchased a pps m2. I noticed the front of the slide moves up and down if pressure is applied (If that makes sense). My question is, does yours do the same? I agree with you, the Talon made a world a difference!

I added rubber talon grips to mine as well...it is my EDC gun, and works really well. The only fault of the Walther guns PPS, PPQ guns is the stippling sucks. I wish it was like the M&P /shield or CZ P10 series stippling,otherwise they are great guns

Finally got my Walther.. PPS M2. I had been eyeing the P22 and PK380 for years until discovering this gun. Absolutely love it but I've been trying to find a grenade green rubber looking grip for it and I haven't seen it on anything other than the P22.. Any suggestions for any other grips?

Installed Talon grips on my M2. Came out beautiful, feels great, easy to install. But didn't get the extended mag grip add on.
@cjsteele95946 жыл бұрын
For some reason you have to order it separately for 2 dollars!
@joez98398 жыл бұрын
My PPS M2 is 4 days old and you don't have to do the trigger reset thing when reassembling. I just did it 5 times. Release mag, rack, pull trigger, pull down on the tabs and the slide comes off as nice as your please. Realign the slide and it slides right back. Rack it and you're ready to go. My gun, too, had a card saying I had to reset the trigger. I'll do it one more time. Hold on. Nope. Everything works just fine. Takedown update. Since most are used to pulling the slide back a bit to relieve tension, Walther includes trigger reset instructions. If you don't pull the slide back you don't need to do the trigger reset thing.

Yeah if you pull the slide back more than 1/10th of an inch, the disconnector tab gets popped by the cam groove on the slide and the trigger bar moves up into the reset position preventing the slide/striker from moving past the trigger bar.

@toynazi9 жыл бұрын
+Michael Ogden I have them on mine also. Actually I have them on all of my pistols. The rubberized ones are so much better than the granulated ones IMO. There is a guy who sells his own brand of Talons on Ebay. They are slightly cheaper. Talons are $20 He sells his for $12 They are the same material just without the T logo. His name on Ebay is Boo dads grips if you wanna check him out.

+FlyingHen07 I listened to an interview with Hickock45 and he explained why his review of the m2 was only tepidly receptive (in my opinion, he's always shot better with the Walthers than any other pistols, but then seems to hedge his recommendations). He said that it was too heavy compared to his current favorite in the subcompact form factor, the Glock 43. He may have also mentioned the additional round in the flush-fit magazine. For better or worse, Hickock is hugely influential.
@JustinOpinionChannel8 жыл бұрын
Myanameis Beestingz He is, and has earned that influence. The best any of us can do to serve the viewer is to provide supporting rationale for our opinions and to try to remain fair. It's great to have so many choices - no one's choice is wrong if it's right for them.
@icysurfer18 жыл бұрын
Hickok loves His Glocks.. It is all good. He is a great teacher, and shooter. With a sense of humour and an ability to laugh at himself. The hallmark of confidence. But, I like the feel of the PPS M2 over any Glock, it feels more solid, less plastic, and has a better trigger. It really isn't that much heavier than the 43, and is a similar profile.

Justin: Nice review of the Talon. I may have missed it in your video, but does the Talon grip add any particular bulk to the grip? The video seems to show that the answer is "no," but thought I'd ask. Thanks.

Are the original PPS magazines compatible with the M2 version?
@JustinOpinionChannel8 жыл бұрын
+Eric Peterson Unfortunately, no. Check out my review of the pistol, I think I mentioned that there. I wish they were.
@stopthephilosophicalzombie90178 жыл бұрын
Do Talon grips have any potential to leave any permanent residue/adhesive if you wanted to remove them? Btw, in reference to the slide/frame interference upon reassembly, my understanding is that this happens as a result of pulling the slide back a bit too far when disassembling the gun. On my PPS m1, if I just barely pull the slide back when working the release tabs, it doesn't move the trigger bar so that it has to be reset like you showed, and the slide goes right back on. Funny thing is, I thought I learned this trick from one of your videos on the m1!
@joez98398 жыл бұрын
+Myanameis Beestingz I'm curious about this also since aftermarket grips sometimes peel off. As for the slide, as I've stated above I don't move the slide at all. Press down on the tabs and the slide slides right off. Slide it back on, rack, and you're good to go.
@mateobiggiekilp76869 жыл бұрын
it could weigh much less but cant change that sir.
@icysurfer18 жыл бұрын
That's the only downside to the S2. But, the heavy slide and long rails add shooting stability too.
@wlftexas9169 жыл бұрын
Any trouble with it peeling off? Just curious.
@JustinOpinionChannel9 жыл бұрын
+WLF Texas I sometimes have the backstrap strip move, because my grip style tends to push it - but only on certain design patterns. Otherwise, I get long life of hard use out of them. For under $20 I never have any complaint.

Hi, Thanks for the video. Should I address you as Justin or Mr Opinion? I went to the site to order, I was given the choice of "Rubber Black" or "Granulate Black". I really liked what you had in your video, which one would that be? Thanks again!
@CWB18639 жыл бұрын
+Joseph Wallace I'd say rubberized.Much better than the granulated for comfort.
@JustinOpinionChannel9 жыл бұрын
+Joseph Wallace What you see here is the rubberized. I prefer that for any carry gun, or one that will contact skin or clothing. Granulate is better for a range or competition gun.

+Justin Opinion Thanks, I appreciate the response AND your videos! I just recently retired and finally bought a pistol. The wife wouldn't stand for any guns in the house while the kids were little. +CWB1863 Thank you! I originally went to purchase a CCP due to arthritis in my hands, but the guy at the gunshop steered me to the PPS M2. Told me it was a much better pistol and almost as easy to rack as the CCP...I think he was correct....
