Let's take a moment to remember, alot of American families didn't get that happy homecoming in WW2. " Let us not mourn those that died, but rather be thankful such men lived"- George S Patton.

The Waltons. U bloody legends! Miss you all, take care wherever you maybe. You will ALL be remembered. Especially here in New Zealand 🇳🇿 🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿 You guys were and still are apart of out growing ups. We watched you guys after school and before bedtime. We wondered at the time, when we watched the show why the actors didn't commit to the hairstyles of the 1940's. The men would never have worn their's so long and certainly not in the army. We loved the message of the show however, and we learned about the Army of WW2 and how different it was from the one we knew about in the Vietnam conflict. Even if we hadn't heard Eisenhower's farewell address, the military industrial complex was a major part of the war machine in the 1970's and it was impossible to reconcile the two.

Those regulation GI haircuts lends so much authenticity. I could swear all of these scenes were actually from the 1940s.

The war was between the US and Japan, but the country itself (USA) was not ruined, instead they did the battle in the Philippines. U.S and Japan made the Philippines their "Basketball Court".

I don't think Curt should have been made to be dead, or even sent there.Alot of young docs weren't drafted.I liked curt, did not like David, who Mary Ellen was to marry at first.
