Egrils, is there a slight CBM on the 1st step of the Quick Open Reverse?
@EgilsSmagris2 жыл бұрын
Technically there is CBMP on step 1, which gives visual impression of CBM. But as artistic "licence" one might dance also CMB.

Hi. This is a great flowing movement, which ive built into my competition choreography. But i have a technical question. At the end of the spin turn, the lady's first steps on the synco running finish are on the toes, as in the back turning lock figure. Ive always wondered about this. The lady is driving forward, and will be low after the exit from the spin turn. This makes it very difficult to perform a toe lead. When the man is doing a similar action on the first two steps of the synco quick open reverse, he uses two heels, which make considerably more sense. I cant see any reason why the lady cant do this on the synco running finish. I understand dancing is an art form, but i would hope that logic wouldnt need to be abandoned. Ive come acrosss a few inconsistencies like this in the technique book. Could you please suggest a following figure rather than the pivot ending.. .Many thanks for your video series they are very useful

Thanks for interesting questions. In what way quick open reverse is different from turning lock? Difference is in rotation. In Turning Lock (and sync running finish) we rotate all the time to right. In quick open reverse we rotate first step to right a then to left. This makes first step similar to preparation step which normally is with heel lead. Second step is by basic technique with heel lead. Why in turning lock first step is with toe lead ? My guess is because it’s like second step of lockstep, and that’s is danced on toe. My suggestion is: do not lower too low before turning lock or syncopated running finish. Different ending: quick open reverse (1&23) - Tumble Turn (12&3)

@@clarenznoelmontesclaros3998 what you mean by "coming division meet"? This is open class choreography and is not allowed in comps with restricted syllabus.
