She is amazing, isn't she? I have been listening to her since 2008 and I have come to love her, more because she really expresses something in her music that is really emotional. She is my favorite piano player and it is because of her emotion that she is my favorite. And you are right, she does make the piano come alive and it is because of her emotion that that happens. I would like to get to that point in my piano playing. It is quite an incredible thing. And a question for you: Do you play anything?

That is so awesome! I really like both of those instruments. I studied music in college (music composition) so I can play all instruments, but my main instruments are piano and voice. What is it that you like about the violin?

+amyleeluvr I love that it can have such a dynamic sound. Gentle, romantic, fiery, country... It can do it all. Saxophone just seemed to sound like a car horn no matter what I did -_- more aimed towards jazz I think. I also sampled lots of wood winds since my sister studied music as well :) what is it about piano that you like?

+Chris Noble I like that the piano is considered a string and a percussion instrument and can have so many things you can do with it. it reminds me of all the instruments put together in a sense. I also like that you can have what is known as prepared piano, where you can put objects inside the piano to get new sounds. The three most common objects used for prepared piano are hardware nuts, bolts and forks. It's really interesting and of you want to hear some, search "George Crumb prepared piano" on here and you'll hear an amazing representation of it.

I also watched this video a long time ago, in fact when the game was hitting it (and long live it!). I remember that at that moment there weren't too much covers of this song and this was the version I liked the most. It's astonishing for me how time has passed and I'm so glad for Aivi that they kept working in the music world! Even seems that they have married and have a kid (it's in their bio)!

Good point! I suppose I was preoccupied with arranging other parts of the song, and the octave escaped my mind (someone else commented about my lack of octave change on another video, too). The most awe-inspiring moment for me was always the big chord progression at 0:51

EXCELLENT work Aivi. one of my favorite tracks from the OST and you did it well. i especially liked some of the techniques you used in your arrangement to capture the "orchestral" feel...it's all too easy in such a piece to have an arrangement that feels bare and empty. great!
