I did some digging in the manual of Super Mario 64 DS and every character has a maxed out stat, Wario has max strength, Etc. But there wasn't a character that had maxed out speed, it would make sense Waluigi would have this trait. This probably means Waluigi was going to have max speed because of long legs, and he was most likely going to be part of this game.

I think they are also known as Rom Hacks though I'm not sure since they can be whole new games. Mods could change textures of enemies, reprogram new characters (like Super Mario 64 Online which adds Luigi, Peach, Toad, Wario, Waluigi, Yoshi, Rosilina, Sonic, and Knuckles) It could change the layout of the game like certain areas like let's say you made shifting sand land but every star was a coin or something. He is saying that a person made a mod for the game (Having it Played on a Rom through a Emulator) and then applying the mod to it. Also you spelled "rumer" wrong though I shouldn't judge since I spelled "Rosilina" wrong

I know how to unlock Waluigi: First, crouch as mario at the very tip top of the castle for 30 seconds Then, switch to Wario and defeat the first bowser boss again. Wow I remember spending countless hours trying to unlock Waluigi. I always watched Wwwwario's videos on it that were about Arceus2401. It was so fun trying to figure it out and going along with the videos. On the Chief Chilly rumor, when the mushroom actually popped out I was so happy and felt accomplished. I thought that I would be the second one to unlock him and share it just like Arceus2401. To this day I still think that that was the most amazing thing in any of the games I play because the mystery was so complex and just all around fun to try and solve. This video reminds of those really fun times and thanks for posting it. I also go back to the Wwwwario videos for some nostalgia.

Here is how you unlock waluigi. Eat the game card, them wait for someone to surgically remove it from your stomach. You them have to throw a ton of purple grapes at it and then throw it in a bucket of purple dye. Put the game into the ds and if it is not broken, play it and the white door in the character room should be a waluigi door instead Edit: I forgot a crucial step, you must also chew the grapes beforehand.

I remember playing this game as a kid and ordering Action Replay DS for the game! What made me aware of this rumor/mystery was that on my copy of Action Replay there was a cheat code for SM64DS that said ‘Play as Waluigi’ which never worked, assuming due to no character model being in the game, but due to seeing that cheat code it sent me on a frenzy to find out how to unlock him. And the Purple Prizes article fooled the shit out of my dumbass as a kid and thought it was real....I also remember some bullshit theory about you needed to go to the ride side of the castle and do some weird ass jump off the walls to the top and jump into a painting. It's honestly quite possible that Waluigi was meant to be in the game and was was cut quite late. The only proof we have is the random white door and the purple rabbit in the manual. It's quite odd, especially the rabbit, why was the purple rabbit left in the manual. The white door was a complete let down and felt really rushed, which it most likley was. You just go in after a few rabbits and just jump out with a star, BADABOOM let's get lunch. Waluigi should have been left in if he was in the game at some point and there isn't really any reason for him to be cutout other than storage space, or laziness, but i'm sure it's not the second reason. If he was planned to be there anyway.

I have seen this awesome Multiplayer hack, where one is Mario and the other Luigi. I remember reading that in the original, you can have the option for the camera, where it was fixed. You could see Mario get smaller and smaller but still see him. I remember using that option years ago. No clue what that was for though at the time.

I think that the "Waluigi was planned to be in the game" is probably likely, because there is an extra door in the room where Mario, Luigi and Wario doors are. It would make sense if this was, at one point, Waluigi's door. Maybe Yoshi was introduced later in development, replacing Waluigi because they thought fans would prefer Yoshi. Then throw your DS away. Go buy the ORIGINAL DS. Then buy Super Mario 64 DS. Then buy a Gameboy and play both Super Mario Land and Super Mario Land 2. Then 100% Super Mario 64 DS. Now break your NES, your Famicon, your Gamecube, your Gameboy, and all the games except for your ORIGINAL DS and Super Mario 64 DS. Then open Super Mario 64 DS, select the file. Walk your way to the L is Real statue and run around the statue 1,000,000 times as Wario. After the 1,000,000th run, remove the game with the ORIGINAL DS turned on. Then it should freeze. After it freezes turn it off. After turning it off, destroy your ORIGINAL DS and buy the Nintendo Switch, a Wii U, and a New Nintendo 3DS/New Nintendo 3DS XL. Set up the three. Then put the Super Mario 64 DS game on your New Nintendo 3DS/New Nintendo 3DS XL. Sell the Wii U for $10 and give away the Switch. Now turn on your New Nintendo 3DS/New Nintendo 3DS XL and boot up Super Mario 64. Select the file where you did the 1,000,000 runs around the L is Real statue. Go to the room where you switch characters and you should see a Waluigi door. Enter it and you will see that King Peepa (The arch nemesis of King Boo) captured Waluigi in a Waluigi painting. Go and save Waluigi as Wario. After you fight King Peepa, you will realize Waluigi was not there. Go back to the character's room and you will hear Luigi's voice insulting someone on his door. enter Luigi's door. You will see Luigi trying to kill Waluigi. Fight and kill Luigi and you should be able to play as Waluigi. But don't worry for Luigi, he still had lifes. Now; make sure you don't close the game or that your New Nintendo 3DS/New Nintendo 3DS XL battery runs out, because you will have to do this whole process again. I know! After beating the game with 150 stars, jump into Wario's portrait as Luigi, get every single coin, kill the boss, then go into Luigi's portrait as Wario, And once there, kill every single enemy and exit the stage. As soon as you exit, Go to the DS menu, and go back in. Win at least once in every minigame, and go to the main game. Go in the white door, which is now a Waluigi door, and beat the boss of the Waluigi portrait (the Phirana Plant) as Luigi. And then, boom you unlocked Waluigi! (At least I think that's what you're supposed to do)

Last year Nintendo acually did confirm that waluigi was going to be in the game but was scrapped due to time issues they also said that the "window" on the castle was mean't to be in the game but was also scrapped and we do not have any info on what that window or box was supposed to be for. They also said that the box was going to include waluigi but they moved Yoshi after waluigi was cut and they said on the art he was supposed to be shoving Luigi from behind (hence why he is faling) Edit: Now that I think on it I believe that they also changed the 4th door to a white door after removing him and the star you got from the final version was probably a bonus star for Waluigi or his painting.

Just the fact that there's a white door says it all, they probably did plan to include Waluigi, and speed would've likely been his specialty, so my best guess is that since they already incorporated four different characters, all with unique attributes and stars for them to utilize said attributes, not to mention you don't unlock Wario until you're already at the near-end of the game, they couldn't find enough ways to make Waluigi useful

Another thing supporting Waluigi being cut is that the 4th door in the character room doesn't lead to an actual room; instead, when you walk in, the camera stays outside and after a few seconds you walk out with a star in your hands. It doesn't make sense that this would be the only star in the game that you can't see until after you got it unless it was a last-minute addition to give the room a new purpose so they didn't have time to make an actual room.

On top of the idea of the polka dots on the floor in the rec room being believed to be an indication of waluigi, there is also the belief that the secret aquarium is an indication too, since the windows are tinted red, yellow, green, and purple respectively. i noticed in mario party ds, they used the same sprites in that game as 64 ds. and that game has waluigi so in theory they could have used the old model for waluigi from that game. especially since 64 ds came out before mario party ds. i know it's not much evidence, but this video pretty much confirmed it so this is just additional data.
