I want to thank you so much for teaching me the art of fingerless gloves. I tried for years to make the fingerless glove with the thumb hole. Until your presentation I had no luck making these. I have been making arm warmers (using the 24 pegs loom) for years to give to the homeless and for the ladies in the rest homes, the manager there liked these because it kept the ladies from picking at the arms since the skin is so thin. Some ladies even put the arm warmer on there ankles to keep them warm. Thank you again. I just love these. I have made 6 pairs so far in different colors. The only problem I have is remembering when to put the paper clip in the plate to count rows. I have Dementia. Any suggestions?

Hi Andrea! I appreciate your lovely message. I am glad you found the video helpful - and, I am happy to hear about your generosity. Oh yes, the counting can be frustrating. Hello!! Yes, 20 peg looms are hard to find these days. The two sources that I can recommend: 1. CindWood Looms - they are the people who make the beautiful wooden looms. You can order any size loom that you want from them - good people - good service. 2. Check out the Flexee Links. I highly recommend these. I enjoy working with them. I am able to make looms with the amount of pegs I want. I just made a 20 to see it. I think it works great. @WambuiMadeIt3 жыл бұрын
Hi Rebekah! If you make them on a 16 peg loom they are likely going to be too big. I know many people are having trouble finding the 20 peg looms. @WambuiMadeIt Жыл бұрын
Greetings! Thank you so very much for watching. NO, I do not recommend a 24 peg loom. Those who have use the 24 peg looms have complains of the gloves beening much too large. I know that the 20 peg looms are hard to find. These are my two suggestions. You can order a wooden 20 peg loom (they are very nice) from CindWood Looms or -- my first recommendation is to get the FLEXEE LOOM kit - large/chunky. The Flexee Loom kit which is about $16.00 will give you the ability to make a loom of any amount of pegs at any time. @WambuiMadeIt Жыл бұрын
Yes, the 20-peg looms seem to have disappeared from the market. Here are the two suggestions I give to have 20-peg loom: 1. Buy the Flexee loom kit. It usually sells for about $15.00. It is wonderful to have because it allows to to always be able to make a loom with as many or as few pegs as you want: I did a review here: Crafting Time - Unboxing and Review Loom Knitting KB Flexee Loom - Wambui Made It kzbin.info/www/bejne/raS9Y3Wqa66cmaM You can buy from the company that makes the Flexee loom here or many other crafting stores. knittingboard.com/flexee-loom-links-chunky/ 2. @WambuiMadeIt3 жыл бұрын
Hi dreamy gamer! I am so sorry to hear that your mittens are too big. I know the frustration. The way I know to make them smaller is to take your darning needle and make a stitch down the side of the mittens - the side that the little finger is on. Other than that, 20 pegs looms are difficult to find but CindWood Looms has wooden 20 peg looms and the large size Flexee Loom kit allows you to make looms with the amount of pegs that you choose. The Flexee Looms are available at CindWood Looms but they are also on Amazon and at almost any craft store except Michaels. I hope this is helpful🌻🧶🌻

Since I don't shop Amazon can i buy this loom @ Michaels or Joann's?
@WambuiMadeIt4 жыл бұрын
Hi Georgia! Yes, of course, you can purchase the loom anywhere. The issue was that the 20 peg loom had become very difficult to find. I have been sending people to CindWood looms or suggesting the Flexee Loom. The Flexee Looms are great in that you can create the loom any size that you want. I hope this info will help you. 🌻🧶🌻 Crafting Time - Unboxing and Review Loom Knitting KB Flexee Loom - Wambui Made It kzbin.info/www/bejne/raS9Y3Wqa66cmaM

Hi Mary! I Think the #6 yarn should work just fine. You may have to really slow down and take your time when you are doing the cast off. Don’t forget to check out this video if you need an in-depth video demonstrating the stretchy cast off: Specific Details of Loom Knit Stretchy Bind Off (Used In The Fingerless Mittens) kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3uzdHakYp19bZY Thank you for watching. @WambuiMadeIt4 жыл бұрын
Hi Andrea! I recently got a couple from CinDWood Looms. I am not associated with CinDWood in anyway. However, that is the only place I buy looms from these days. The looms are all wooden and the customer service has always been great. Plus you can order custom made looms. The 20 pegs I have been ordering are these: 1/2" 20 peg Baby Slipper - they are $12.50 - www.cindwoodlooms.com The other alternative that I can recommend is the Flexee Loooms. I did a review on them: Crafting Time - Unboxing and Review Loom Knitting KB Flexee Loom - Wambui Made Itkzbin.info/www/bejne/raS9Y3Wqa66cmaM They are great. With the Flexee Looms, you can make the loom any size that you want it to be. I think CinDWood Looms sells these now too. I appreciate you watching. 🌻🧶🧶🌻

I can't find 20 peg loom I looked on amazon but got nothing what is the name of one you used
@WambuiMadeIt3 жыл бұрын
Hello, You have asked where you could find a 20 peg loom several times. I have responded each time. The last time was 4 days ago I told you where I suggest getting the 20 peg loom. I am going to tell you again. Yes, 20 peg looms are hard to find. They are no longer available on Amazon. CindWood Loom - wooden looms - has 20 peg looms. The last one I got was 1/2 inch gauge (distance between each peg). It worked beautifully. Also the K B Large size ‘Flexee loom’ kit will allow you to make looms with the amount of pegs that you want. The Flexxee loom kit is available at CindWood also - but also from Amazon and most craft stores. Here is the link to a review a of the Flexee Loom if you want more info about what they are and how they work: Crafting Time - Unboxing and Review Loom Knitting KB Flexee Loom - Wambui Made It kzbin.info/www/bejne/raS9Y3Wqa66cmaM 🌻🌻🧶

How do I fix my loose gage in looming
@WambuiMadeIt3 жыл бұрын
Hi Clarena! A loose gage usually occurs when the yarn is too thin for the ‘loom gage’ (the amount of space between each peg.) If you have a thin or light weight yarn, you can double the yarn by making two balls of yarn and knitting with them together as if they were one strand. What is the weight of the yarn you are using? How many pegs are on your loom and how wide are the spaces between each peg? Is the whole project loose or just certain areas or certain stitches? Let me know. I would love to help you if I can.🌻🌻🧶

@WambuiMadeIt4 жыл бұрын
Hi Shyamala!! I am sorry to hear about the thumb hole. The good news is that it can be easily fixed. You will just need to take your darning needle, thread it, turn your mitten inside out- use the threaded darning needle to carefully stitch up the hole until it is the size you want. Let me know if you still need more help.🧶🧶🌻

I need to purchase this 20 pegs because the one I used was 24 pegs and my mittens came out toooo big. ☺️

Hi Adela! I am sorry to hear that your mittens are too big. The 20 peg looms are very hard to find these days. However, here are two solutions. Both of these items can be found at CindWood Looms. I have purchased the 20 peg looms with 1/2 in gauge and it works perfectly. Or, you can also purchase the KB Flexee Loom which allows you to make a loom any size you want at any time. The KB Fexee Loom is also at other craft stores and KB knittingboard. (My unboxing an review video is linked below.) I hope this is helpful to you.🌻🌻🌻🧶 Crafting Time - Unboxing and Review Loom Knitting KB Flexee Loom - Wambui Made It kzbin.info/www/bejne/raS9Y3Wqa66cmaM

I have been recommending that people buy a wooden one from CindWood Looms or get the Large Flexee Loom kit that will allow you to make any size loom you would like. Both of these can be purchased at CindWood Looms or the Flexee Looms are also at many craft stores. I hope this helps.🌻🧶🌻
