Yet another great pedal from the house of Wampler. This one belongs to the "Heritage Series" and aims to can a whole heap of great tweed amps from the late 50's. It covers low to medium gain and reacts very dynamically with my guitar's volume knobs. But most of all it has that sound that is associated with an amp from this period - cranked and otherwise. Great stuff, Brian!
A note:
In this video I call the pedal's "Input Simulator" toggle a "channel switch". This is perhaps misleading as the Input Simulator is exactly that: a toggle-able virtual input set (Bright, Normal and Both or 'Linked').
On a tweed style amp and many others for that matter, you will often see a set of four inputs - 2 x Bright and 2 x Normal. Many people like to 'link' or 'bridge' one input to the other for a sound based on the combination of those inputs. For instance, on my HIWATT I plug my guitar into the Normal input's high level input. I then use a small patch cable to link the Normal Input (low level input) to the amp's Bright input. This gives me the sparkle of the Bright input with the warmer sound of the Normal Input and also allows me to mix the two inputs to my taste by means of their respective and dedicated Volume controls. The same situation could apply to a Bassman combo (for instance) or any other amp with two or more different Inputs. The Tweed '57 emulates this facility beautifully with its Input Simulator toggle. It's a very cool addition to this pedal and one which I'd love to see more of on other pedals.

Sounds great Brett. You really dug deep into the riff vault for this one. That is about as comprehensive as a pedal demo can get.

I am very flattered, thank you. That is a great Strat, yes. Unfortunately its neck joint is less than stable so it doesn't get much road use anymore. The pickups are killers, though, for sure. Favourite Wampler pedal? That's a tough one. I use two at all times on the road: Paisley and Sovereign, if that's any help. The Triple Wreck is a lot of fun but way above my onstage gain needs so it stays here in the fun room. :) You're a class act, too! Cheers, B.

Seems like the player is determined to coax as much hard rock out of it, as it can deliver. But what about the rest of the tonal possibilities the pedal can deliver? I don’t know how many people are going to buy this pedal for its distortion and not it’s grit and overdrive. :/

BG- Another Great vid man. I do have one thing I wish you might have done with it. For a lot of players in the blues and country scenes we don't use a whole lot of gain. I myself like to take those old Fenders to the point where they are just breaking up. I wish you would have demo'd that.
