DoodleChaos' Minecraft syncs are amazing, but hot take: I think 360 video is pointless and annoying. There are very, very few video concepts that really benefit from 360, and this certainly isn't one of them. This sync is actually a particularly bad example, because most of the blocks disappear as they leave your front view, so looking behind you or to the side gives you an objectively less interesting experience. But even if Doodle took the time to add things to the back and side views to fix that, the viewer is still missing out on roughly 75% of the video at any given moment, because they can't look in every direction at once. That means Doodle would need to put in 4 times the effort to make every camera angle interesting, and the viewer would need to watch it at least 4 more times to take everything in, compared to a normal video where Doodle can just control the camera themselves and direct our eyes to where they want us to look. And that's not even mentioning the lower resolution, accessibility issues, and inconvenience of having to hold your phone at a specific angle the entire time. I don't fault Doodle for trying it out, but I really hope this doesn't become a trend.

First of all, this is not just about looking backwards, it’s just to see the world around you without having a fixed screen which can mean many things for other people. Also, you can just move the screen by using a finger and dragging it around. You dont need to hold it at a angle. They are simple to make and gives a new perspective, that’s literally it. If you find it annoying, that is a personal problem.
