I personally have been enjoying Staff in the Hyper Boost Servers and would love to see a little showcase on how a Wand/Staff build could look like. I wanted to learn more about how viable it is in both PvE and PvP. The curse + burn + spread + explode combo is hurting my brain. @@kalmage136 for DPS, those two skills deal massive dmg. For healers that Wave is a big HoT that tiks for 1.6-2.5k on my toon. The Tornado is just a really good disrupting ability. Must be used wisely though to not mess up clumps already CC’d.

For players who did not play with bow and wand in open beta might see the video is very impressive and yes it looks really cool as you made a pvp healer character, not a full support healing build. Otherwise, you should be defeated so easily by x2 players instantly and thy did not truly focus on you too, at open beta test - when a melee or archer or mage focus on you non-stop, the healing is not enough to survive. Throne and Liberty is about what gear you have, and it is obvious you are more geared than your opponents. I have played with Bow and Wand in open beta until lvl 48 so far, I wear light armor mainly but in this video it seems like you wear heavy armor parts mostly and invested on Strenght too for more HP with lots of defensive stats / perks. The healing amount you are doing is not so great after using all the long cooldown healing skills. At lvl 40 I had 8k mana but you even don't have 8k mana at lvl 50. More mana means more healing. You randomly spawn the healing skills most of the time, if you do some combo skills then you would boost your healing further^^. Mage meteor in the new patch has -%60 healing reduction, but the mage in the video did not spend his point to that. Otherwise, you would be defeated much sooner. You don't regenerate your mana fast too. It can be seen very easily when you use skills non-stop, your mana regeneration cannot keep. Why don't you do normal hits on the dot target to heal yourself via basic attacks with wand?

@@1991sub I only mentioned my experience on bow and wand at open beta as lvl 48 bow + wand healer build. I will play as a healer in release too but I am not so happy with the T&L healing feeling I am getting while you compare other mmorpg healers, such as Tera Online, Archeage, Aion, Lineage 2 and so on. T&L needs a pure healing weapon really and some extra changes. In dungeon, after you use all of your healing skills which are having long cooldowns, how are you going to heal? dot on basic attacks are not enough, so you need to use bow active skills to give damage while you dot your opponent to heal the tank to keep him alive or any party members to give extra healing; but even those will not help to make your party members' HP full in a fast manner, in dungeon or boss fights, healers are experiencing hard times to keep players HP and players always running away from you and the range of healing skills are very short too. However, when you look at the skill bars shown in the video, there is no active attack skill from bow at all. There are lots of elements to make a good healer. You need to have mana regeneration, mana, range increase, cooldown decrease perks and traits, and any stat on the weapon 10 perception etc etc. It feels like he made a pure pvp healer not to get killed but not give constant healing to party members but only on himself, epsecially in dominance event he will not die easily for sure but if any good gear DPS focus on healer, you will be defeated for sure. These were the cases in open beta. New patch makes DPS and tanks more OP, more damage and so on. Just mage has the -%60 healing reduction skill on the target after using meteor.

Dude chill, this was a test day 1 with gear not optimized to how it should be. You're pretty incorrect. First of all, Staff was bugged and ignores ALL Defenses lol... so the fact I was staying alive like this with Staff being bugged and having 100% full dmg against me says a lot alone. Secondly, my mana is fine if I optimize my gear to the new builds I made and should be transitioning into. You sound very weird with this response. Also, I know how to combo properly. Again, this was day 1 and in this clip I simply was showcasing Wand/Longbow's new build vs broken Staff weapons. Maybe you should ask more questions before assuming.

You're very wrong. In dungeons, you're more than able to keep your party alive with your wand skills. If you can't do that, you're doing something wrong. I heal T2 dungeons pre and post patch fine as Wand/Staff not even needing Longbow heals, and my Wand/Longbow PvE build can do the same still not relying on Longbow HoTs. Please refrain from sharing misinformation or at least say "I think" so people don't take what you say as facts. Also, DPS can't just kill me for sure... if you use skills properly you can even keep your health at full while CC'd. I can also keep my party alive just fine while keeping myself alive. Like I said, this video was showcasing the broken Staves vs me trying new Wand/Longbow stuff I barely had to time to test with. Staves were bugged to ignore all defenses (includes evasion, endurance, DR, and raw defense), so the fact I was staying alive vs two with that bug was the main point of the video...

Fighting Greatswords isn't too bad. You just need to be used to their openers and combos so you can predict what they'll do. I have a post about this in Healer Discord. discord.gg/8ap3KjTD "Hi, because you can't build a proper amount of Evasion and/or Endurance to counter a Greatsword DPS at endgame T1 and T2 gear, please do the following to survive (some tips work best when you're also fully traited on defensive armour stats + health): Use the Precious Purification Stone after the inintial damage burst + stun so they waste cooldowns. Then immediately freeze and/or root them if you're staff. If you're longbow, use Barrier and Fountain (or new shield Wand ability) and call for peel and you should be able to self-sustain + survive. You have to always be cautious of them. My immediate ways to deal with them is to root or freeze them with Tomb and Smokescreen as you notice them walking towards you. Also, pre-casting Barrier and/or shield on myself if I suspect I'm about to get jumped by them. One of the best ways is putting Fountain and Barrier on yourself. The Fountain heal will help you sustain DPS from GS combo as well as Blessed Barrier."

Yes, it's still good. You can bomb with it or pure heal. If you pure heal, a CDs build with high ranged/magic eva makes it really good and worth.

Debuff Duration. Block the Shadowstep attack. Purification Stone. Using your Longbow abilities (can't use heal or cleanse). So when you are silenced, I used Longbow roll block to block next attacks and often get a Perfect Block off. Always survive.

I found your build on maxroll it seems pretty good and all covering a lot of aspect but only one that is actualy VERY important, leveling... how are we supposed to level with such build when there is no damage skill and respec in this game is a massive shit no because of trash devs doing stupid things like making skill book exessively rare and a long chore to farm so you can level up with a few skill and then respect later... So what am i supposed to get carried a shit tone or level the character with half the skill useless and then reroll him later on so probably count on my guild to have back up material and stuff or wait a month i can gather enough book and shit to finaly be able to reroll my character ? This game for real...

Hi, leveling is actually really easy. For Longbow, you only need to level three skills to rare, Strafing and Knock, and Sniping. Then you focus leveling support abilities. Leveling these 3 skills is not a waste since you'll use it for solo PvE at endgame when completing contracts or grinding mobs. You also use all three for your late game dungeon build. There are also skill book transfer coupons in the game which I believe AGS also gives for free to Oct 1st players. Double-check.

If the later, consider adding those information in future, guide, having end and full build is cool, especialy with that much details there are realy little that well made, but a lots of players will be new and search and need the leveling process, especialy on this game which is a bit messy because there many information and not too nice on mistakes

There's P2W, but F2P are all top 20 and compete just fine cus the game allows you make the P2W currency through selling regular drops you get in game. So it's actually a good model where F2P can make Lucent and buy anything from cash shop they want. No items in Cash Shop that are game breaking as well. Play the game a bit more and you'll understand :D.
