Never been to Japan but I've had some apparently half decent sushi over here, and really enjoyed it. Bit pricey though! I like the fishy ones but love duck too. Chicken katsu sounds good! I love rice anyway, and think the supermarket stuff's decent value. Glad you liked them! And the green stuff the rice is wrapped in is called nori- it's dried seaweed, so you're even more adventurous than you realised! 😝

The duck one is nice in Tesco, they also do a prawn and salmon which is good. In the supermarkets, they sometimes have a fresh sushi counter, but I haven't tried it because I'm never sure if the extra cost is worth it, it could be a good review! Tom.

I had to go to Tesco today. You know the trip when you just need bread but end up with £150 in a trolley instead? Well, that was my trip - including about 5 packs of this sushi, because my wife wanted to try it after watching this video with me. She didn't like it. Now I have 3kg of sushi to eat. Thanks for the review and no money left to buy Fosters.

I wouldn't trust it coming from a market. Here in the states we have it in some gas stations and it's common knowledge to avoid.

Get yourself and Wanda to a decent Sushi restaurant. Way better than the supermarket stuff. There's a few in Plymouth.

I was in Japan in may of last year i eat an octopus that was killed in front of me and was still moving on the plate. Dipped in soy sauce it was tasty but the sucker pads sticking to my mouth was very strange 😂

Definitely try the real stuff, more expensive but so good. The Tesco stuff decent enough for a meal deal but now you’ve dipped your toe in you have to try from a restaurant. If you’ve got a Sainsbury’s near you, some of the bigger ones have “sushi gourmet” counters which is maybe the next step between the meal deal stuff you’ve had and restaurant sushi.
