WandaVision Episode 8 Previously On tackles the origin story of Agatha Harkness & the Scarlet Witch

Hello, Marvel fans! Today Jay and Sean are discussing Episode 9 of WandaVision, titled Previously On. This episode features Agatha Harkness's origins in Salem more than 400 years ago and her desperate need to learn how Wanda is creating and maintaining the powerful Hex. Agatha (Kathryn Hahn) has Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) revisit her childhood in Sokovia, her rebellious years as a Hydra terrorist and her encounter with Loki's staff and the mind stone, her early time with Vision at the Avengers compound in the aftermath of Pietro's death, her attempt to recover Vision's body from the SWORD facility where he was being disassembled by Director Hayward (Josh Stamberg), and her eventual trip to Westview, New Jersey where Vision had purchased them a plot of land where they might one day grow old together.
Wanda embarks on a troubling journey revisiting her past for insight into her present and future.

In a mid-credits scene, it is revealed that Hayward still has Vision's body and has successfully brought it back online, animating White Vision for the first time. Will next week's Episode 9 feature a battle with White Vision?
In Salem in 1693, Agatha is accused of practicing the dark arts by her own coven - and her own mother! She has stolen knowledge beyond her scope and age and the coven attempt to put her to death but Agnes simply absorbs their energy/magic and becomes even more powerful.
Agnes refers to Pietro (Evan Peters) as "Fake Pietro" or "Fietro" - admitting she's been controlling him the whole time. But who is he really and where does he come from? And what happened between him and Monica Rambeau last episode?
We learn where Wanda's love of sitcoms come from. In fact, she was watching the Dick Van Dyke show (S02E21, It May Look Like a Walnut) when her home in Sokovia was bombed, killing her parents.
We see Wanda join an "anti-freedom terrorist organization" (Hydra) and be exposed to the infinity stone in Loki's staff, in which she sees a vision of her future self as Scarlet Witch.
Vision tells Wanda "What is grief if not love persevering?"
Hayward shows Wanda Vision's autopsy and hints heavily that she could "bring him back" although he will not allow her to leave with "three billion dollars worth of vibranium"
Agatha recognizes that Wanda is what was once thought only a myth, a being capable of spontaneous creation - the Scarlet Witch, identified by her chaos magic.
Hayward reanimates Vision, his sentient weapon; White Vision is emotionless and colourless.
Agatha sees that the mind stone amplified Wanda's powers, implying that the powers were there to begin with. Is the MCU incorporation Wanda's mutant past into her back story?
No mention of the glowing book of spells in Agatha's basement/secret lair this week. The book glows yellow, not purple, perhaps hinting that the book is stolen. Could it belong to the Ancient One?
