You should have seen that footage of the "Whistle While You Work" scene. In the original 1937 film, she was cleaning the house by herself, then asked the help of animals thru song. In the 2025 film, she literally handed out brooms and rags to the dwarves, fake swept the floor for 3 seconds, and sang the rest of the scene. Yes, this movie is about girl bossing and micromanaging while living rent-free in another persons' house. LOL.

Adapting it completely avoids the problem. But the dwarves in the story are nearer to the mythological figure of gnomes. I'm not sure you require dwarf actors necessarily. There were probably hundreds of years of theatre productions or films that had the problem of representing fantasy worlds - and being charming with low budget practical effects rather than nightmarish. There were literally thousands of films that had to deal with a version of the same problem. If you can't find an elegant solution to the problem, then don't make the film.

They could go one way or another or - if they felt like it - mix and match. The only requirement was that the choice was effective. As is, the 7 seven dwarves are 6 bearded miners, and one who is more pointedly childlike ("dopey"). Getting a grown dude to play dopey seems unlikely to be well received.

the Reason they went with the CGI dwarves is because of an interview they had with Peter Dinklage, in it, Dinklage said that If Disney cast little people as dwarves then they are putting a negative light on the plight of little people, that this would be a disgrace to little people everywhere. He even mentioned that he was not behind any casting of dwarves living in 'caves'. Peter Dinklage insert his foot in mouth without knowing the whole story of Snow White and the 7 Dwarves. Apparently the Peter Dinklage is the King of Little people and Disney didnt want to offend Peter Dinklage. At first they recast them as 7 Magical people, then people didnt like it, now Disney decided not to cast 7 Dwarves or 7 Little people, and just CGI it instead.

No, after Dinklage alerted them to the problem that no little people were cast as the Dwarves, Disney had a CHOICE - they could have hired little people for the parts, and don't you tell me that there aren't enough to go around. Original Disney's Snow White is a timeless children's classic that should never have even been remade in the first place. Also, if you wanna see the more accurate gothic dark adult Grimm's fair-tale version then I highly recommend the underrated 90s version Snow White A Tale of Terror with Sigourney Weaver and Sam Neill :-)

Simple fix: They make the rest of the characters CGI, other than Gal Gadot, of course. She gorgeous! 😍 They could even have her go from CGI to a real person at the end or something. Would make it a bit more unique than the original movie.

Everyone of these live action remakes by Disney should have been homeruns. All they had to do was bring the magic to life. Use all the animated films as expensive storyboards and treat the source material faithfully like Peter Jackson did with "Lord of the Rings". They blew it.

That quick snippet within the trailer showing Snow White and the Prince gazing lovingly into their eyes is little more than a bait and switch, whereupon Snow White will undoubtedly save the day, proving she don't need no man with the movie ending with her girl bossing by slowly placing the queen's crown upon her royal head. You go grrrlll!!! Cringe to the max, and we can see it coming a mile away.

So they hire Gal as the evil queen, yet shes way hotter than snow white..She should of been snow white. Just watch the Daily Wire version, it will be way better. And the drama about the dwarfs..People talked smack about the ones casted for this. But Peter Dinklage opened his big mouth and said hiring real dwarfs to act would be offensive. So ya, many dwarfs were upset about him making those comments cause they wanted the roles..So now they werent hired, and they did it CGI instead lol.

Y'know, I'm pretty sure that what we saw in this teaser trailer will be explained with a Snow White's voice-over explaining, "Do you remember the story? The prince? The old hag and the apple? The Dwarves?" (all the while showing scenes from the teaser trailer). Then, close-up to White smirking and saying "Lol, really, suckers?" As for the dwarves? Really? Nobody, no one at Disney tried and study The Lord of the Rings franchse? SERIOUSLY'
