In case you didn’t notice, the name of the paper towel brand in the commercial is Lagos, referencing the country from the beginning of Civil War where Wanda accidentally blew up a hospital trying to stop the villain Crossbones from killing Captain America via suicide bomb. Even the slogan is a tongue-in-cheek nod to the event “when you make a mess you didn’t mean to!”

Ah man, you missed my favorite part which is when Wanda just 'rolls credits' to end the argument in a classic sitcom way and then Vision UN rolls them (which always kind of gave me creepy Too Many Cooks vibes) and the whole STOP LYING TO ME which just was really powerful. Other random aside -the twins ageing up is obviously a manifestation of their own powers but probably also a homage to sitcoms of that era where the kid/baby characters tended to age more quickly.

Full house was the 90's. Some of the decades are on the cusp of the next one, like from episode 2 to 3. Color tv happened at the end of the 60's. At the end of episode 2, everything went from black and white into color. By episode 3 they moved into the 70's. This opening is a mix of sitcom genres throughout the decade, but mostly the Family Ties show...starring a young pre "Back to the Future" Michael J. Fox. Whenever she is reminded of present day reality, she loses part of her concentration on the hex, which allows some consciousness of people near her to wake up. That's why Monica shook off Wanda's hold when Wanda was distracted by remembering her brother. She started thinking of him while singing in Sokovian. Notice that Monica's expression was that of someone coming out of a haze. That's when she had her present mind in tact and remembered what the debriefing on Wanda said. Her brother was killed by Ultron. Idk if you guys are paying attention to the commercials. There is significance in them.

I'm sorry, I'm usualy respectfull about other people's opinions but whoever said episodes 1 to 3 are BAD it's just dumb 🙄🤦🏻, and I understand that when it was coming out, and we had to wait a whole week for the next episodes, it might've been a little frustrating to have something completly different from what we are used to MCU but that doesn't mean they're bad, they're nothing but genious and inovationg for this genre at least, it helps you create the enough amount of confusion and curiosity that helps make this show so unique

Absolutely. The second half of the series wouldn’t have had the same impact without the first half. We needed to see at least three episodes of Wanda’s ideal world in order to understand exactly what’s at stake.

I loved the part where Wanda explains to the twins that “you can’t bring anyone back”, you hear the pain in her voice as if she knows what she’s doing won’t last forever, no matter how hard she tries. And then it ends with Vision walking up on them to even further emphasize what she’s doing. Little things like that, which Olsen portrays in her facial expressions perfectly, are why this show worked for me. It’s not very long but the attention to detail was rather phenomenal.
