I would hate it to the core , Shadow Of The Colossus is a fantastic game but if a series was ever made I would wonder "Why did God create these types of people?"

@seangrei: Wander never wanted to inflict harm on Emon and his men for Mono's death. Even as Dormin, Ueda has stated the reason he's hard to control is because he's half Wander (his leg is also physically wounded because of the arrow in Wander's leg). So Wander's side did not care about vengeance, Dormin however did.

I know you took some creative liberty but, in my personal opinion it was more fun to imagine Wanda not as a swordsman, but simply a hunter (he can ride and use the bow pretty well, but seems rather clumsy with the sword). That's just me though!

This is just incredible. The art is awesome, the flow of the "trailer" really does give the air of a film, and the voice work is lovely. I love the ambiguity and surrealism of the game, but I love your particular take on the story as well! Again, incredible~

Oh man... I was entranced by you're interpretation and storytelling of this mysterious game. I have just completed Shadow of the Colossus, fantastic game in my opinion. I want to become a writer myself and your expansion on this is excellent! For the 2 minutes and 23 seconds I watched, you were my God. =D Keep up the good work!

Awesome! I've been fantasizing about a movie of SotC for a while now, but some of the ideas you had with the drama between Wander and the other people of the village was really good. And like you said about art, I easily consider ICO and SotC as high art!

So good, I got shivers. Great art, great voices, great vision. I actually like how Wander isn't portrayed as some pure hero, because we saw in the game that he really did do something dangerous. The only thing missing from this "trailer" is Mono, but I have a feeling you would have had to get a girl to do the voice, haha. This video made my day (or week or month). Thanks and excellent work!

AWESOME. This makes me realize, with enough fleshing in of the backstory, and flashbacks used to illustrate some past and draw the characters together, this could actually be a great movie. Of course, it wouldn't have the same isolated feel of the game, but it would be a boring movie if they made it identical to the game. It works beautifully that way as a game, of course. Great work!

This is what it would have been like if Ryu Hyabusa or Link was the main character, if i remember correctly Wander is not actually skilled with the sword but is mainly skilled with the bow and arrow (judging by the way he swing his sword).

Thats why i love this game: You can imagine 1000 different stories, how the colossus were created, why the land isnt populated anymore and what happened before the game. But one question: Why do they call it the "Iron" Colossus? Aren't they made out of stone?

The boy is called Wander,I think he loved her,and don´t acepted her death.You noticed that after every battle tentacles reach you and you fall?This is the essense of an evil god called Dormin.That is the basic.You will find more things on the Team Ico wiki

What exactly would have been the point if he was going to challenge Wander? The Forbidden Lands are forbidden because each Colossus in the game holds 1 of 16 segments of Dormin's essence (Which is that black stuff that always impales you when you kill a Colossus) and once killed all the essence held within that Colossus is released , once all are killed , the segments rejoin and you can already guess what happens next , so the Colossus don't attack in self defense but only because once you attack it , it will think you are here to free Dormin , trying to stop you from doing so by killing you , it would make sense if he was there to protect the Colossi from people trying to kill them , as there is a bridge into The Forbidden Lands , but someone like that was never even thought of being in the final game , if he was here to kill them before Wander , exactly why? He has to know the legend of Dormin , so , why?

@valeerian1grace Actually, that is an opinion. It is never actually said who Mono is to Wander. Lover? Wife? Sister? Mother- well, I suppose in the end, this is true. The beautiful thing of SotC is that the writers left the plot support to the players. We know that Mono was sacrificed because of a "cursed fate," but what led to that? Where do Mono and Wander, and the Shaman and his men, come from? I have my own theories, and you may have your own. Perhaps the developers have theirs, too.

I see a lot of people saying that the story depicted in this video should've been the games plot. If you've played the game, you'd know that what made SOTC a great game was being immersed in the gameplay and figuring out how to beat the game. It would be impossible to make a good SOTC movie or show or anime without butchering the original source material. That being said, I pray that the game is not made into anything besides another game. And even then it would be difficult and only a few developers could do it properly: ico, Bethesda, turtle rock, naughty dog, or Bungie.

And besides... in the actual game itself and all of the other research I've done, it's actually not really explained how all of it happens or how he knew. I've always wondered how the wanderer found out about them ect... this is actually a very good interpretation, and i think it's the one a lot of people can agree on.

The only problem i see here is Wander's blade proficiency and badass portrayal. Just go in the game and make him swing the sword. He's so clumsy and unsure. He's less of an angsty, vengeful teen and more of a desperate, stubborn child. An excelent climber, horseman and a superb archer? Yes. But a terrible, terrible swordsman and definitely not a seasoned warrior.

The thing about Wanderer is that when he swings his swords he looks too much like a novice. A very good story, but the fighting was a little off to me. Like, to me, Wanderer could've at one point or time have been a mage under that guy at the end with the troops.
