Last time I saw this I couldn't finish it. I thought the bird was going to devour the mom from the inside out. Much different ending than I thought. Just goes to show, you gotta see it through to the end.

This kinda reminds me of certain cuckoo birds that lay their eggs in other birds' nest and the cuckoo chick gets rid of the other eggs or chicks to have the parents all to themselves. And the mom might have been a lot more careful going back without suddenly being shocked to see two of her babies missing. Having one super important thing on your mind (like making sure your not seen by a hunter) and suddenly being distracted by another thought (like "where did my babies go?") is kind of dangerous.

But of you'd like a video concerning morals I'd suggest the animated short "Reversal of the Heart" by Carolyn Chrisman. For someone who likes to question things I'm sure you'll enjoy it. There is a lot of hidden meaning in that story and even though the villain seems obvious... The justification behind everyone motives is fun to question.

I think it's that if he hadn't been so greedy, forcing his mother to go out for more food, then she would have stuck around, plus the support of the other two birds, and they just might have fought off the predator birds at the end together. In the end, though, he faced death alone.

@kristovx712 жыл бұрын
The way i see it, his mother only left the nest because he was begging for food. (He was just fed, he was being greedy) If she was there when the first shot rang out she could have gotten him (if not all her kids) to safety along with all the other birds before the predatory birds showed up. They probably only came to scavenge off the nests after the hunter scared away all the birds who could fly. (they show no fear of the hunter who JUST blew a bird out of the sky right before they turned up)
@djzepecki11 жыл бұрын
Also, if the mother hadn't stopped to search for the other siblings, she would have saved a couple of seconds getting back to the nest.
