This game goes so damn deep. It might look simple, but the functions and upgrades are more complex than any other tower defense game I've played. Even with an hour long video it barely touches the surface. So thank you for sharing this gem. 49:58 for anyone looking to see more.

You missed that you unlocked a new region (on the mission select, there's an arrow next to "Forest") which is less of a jump in difficulty than going to the medium level of Forest

Which is kind of funny since he even read it out with some excitement that he unlocked a new region.

A really interesting game, but the late game is balanced around using very specific builds, probably with community-sourced scripts (unless you REALLY want to learn an esoteric but impressive programming language). I did a fresh playthrough recently and absolutely plowed through the early and mid game only to end up in the same spot I got bored at. It's good for a couple dozen hours though! I was going to recommend Orb of Creation to you, for a REALLY chewy incremental, but you've already played it!

@@brianarsuaga5008 same, I dug into all the alternative gameplay within (like all the buildings) and eventually found them to become hollow as the focus shifted to just script and blueprint perfecting 🥱
@melind8223 сағат бұрын
The AI scripts aren't actually required, you can play through the whole game without them. It just gets tricky since its not very clear which of your 100s of modules you need to survive/get kills in later stages of the game.

It's refreshing to see the early game again. My personal save is upwards of 600 hours already and only just now hitting the end game of M15. It takes aaaaages to get there and I'm surprised I still play it with how frustrating the late game is Lol
@anusaukko6792Күн бұрын
Awesome game, then the Era roadblocks hits where you have to genuinely look up guides on how best to progress and community scripts for use, because otherwise it's absurdly difficult lol. Everything in the early to midgame is awesome though. 9/10 incremental game imo.

Nature burst scales damage faster than basic attack, so it’s just extra damage even when resisted. 500 nature damage at 50% nature res is still 250 when your basic attack is only 100. Only have to worry about 100% nature res. I don’t remember if it’s additive to basic attack.

ah yes. i remember seeing you last video on this game. i immediately started playing and actually finished it. if you want to save some time, i advice you two things: 1. go for economy early on. the wave resource module and one more module you can find early on will let you breeze through early game if you focus most your income to maxing them. after that, just focus on one until it's maxed. 2. the other buildings can grand you some pretty substantially boosts and boni, don't neglect them too much. especially the factory building can get you passive block income of all types, which is always good. though getting to that point will take quite some time... some of those recipes are pretty annoying to grind for... well, i haven't played for over a year, so maybe they eased the grind since then.

Yeap, the last run Wanderbot had by wave 20 more resources compared to run he went to 0 to 100 just because wave resources module. It makes quite big difference Oh in the area selection there is arrow to choose next area... Wander seemed to not notice it.

@@krisavi as well as the enemy health display. but he has said it himself, he tends to focus on things too much to realize all game elements present. there are many things i really want to tell him, but he really dislikes back-siding so i won't. even my advice will probably already be deliberately ignored for spoiling the learning fun.

Hope it reaches 1.0 soon and will get achievements and maybe Steam cards along the way. Wasn´t very far in and already started a few times over from zero but it got a ton of constant updates and changes. xD I think I will play it for longer this time. ^^ They also want to bring "Perfect Tower 1" but no update when this one will come out so far. That attack speed is 100% bait. Like 5 runs in and I'm up to wave like 40 because I went all into attack power. Lessons learned from this video. Edit: Beat Wave 100 on attempt 6. 14 levels in Attack Power, 2 in Shot Bounce, 5 in HP, 2 in Regen.

hey wander, im sorry if this comes of rude, isnt meant to be i dunno if you figuerd it out in the end but halfway to the vid and it pains me to see you hard upgrad atk speed if you dont oneshot anymore,like your third run or so was better than the 6 after just because you upgraded dmg more at the bottom left you can see stats of the current wave, helps a lot in understanding whats needed dmg and health scale exponentially yours aswell as your enemies probably the most important stats early edit you kinda noticed but then doubled down on defense oh no :D but you figured it out in the end nice Also workers allow you to automate upgrading later on, youre just not there yet

@wanderbots22 сағат бұрын
F2P. It's in the same vein as Unnamed Space Idle, though the cash shop feels even more erasable.
@commanderfoxtrot22 сағат бұрын
@@wanderbots My idea of a reasonable shop is one where you can send donations to the devs and get supporter banners/titles, and that's it. Grey-zone is purely-cosmetic items, preferably not ones that can be traded or sold or really have any higher value. Warframe, for example, is on the DNI list because you can spend real money on just about everything, and everything you can't spend money on in-game can be traded for with other players (and now whole sites are dedicated to trading markets). CS2 is in the same boat. It's a free game but the skin market is absurd and omnipresent. TF2 too, but that one arguably worse than CS2 because there are entire weapons you cannot get unless you pay for them or use the gacha crates. Being content-aware has ruined many games for me, which sucks.
@wanderbots11 сағат бұрын
Yeah, Warframe's cash shop (especially for very necessary time-saving boosts) is what eventually drove me from the game. I don't mind paying for things, but I hate paying upkeep for boosts that force me to play avidly before they run out. That's a fast-track to burnout town for me.

Great idling game but there are just too many minigames that are not really part of the main loop. The crafting gradually gets very time consuming and the science experiments were really just a another clicker game inside the game while also being an immense resource sink. Might have to check where the game is at now since it has been a while since I stopped progressing.
@grams1810 сағат бұрын
Still everthing in there but even expanded to certain degree and even new stuff added but also got a lot of changes and balancing etc. Experiments grant you additional bonuses for your tower if you reach certain goals at them so you will further benefit from them. Loved the crafting but that alone can take while to craft and upgrade all things or building the different machines and upgrade them etc. xD

Love hate relationship with this dopamine brain blast of a game.. Its really good, but imo a lot of the extra systems like all the different buildings, and granted are not intended to be the focus, are just good enough that you wish there was more. A lot of the die hard community have a relatively specific way to play and of course if you aren't doing exactly as they are, you kinda get shunned for not? Like theres only 1 acceptable way to progress and you shouldn't invest much time into anything other than what they've optimized ..and yet so much of the side-systems of them game have huge potential. ALSO, if you don't start getting into scripts by like tier 10-12 then yeah you will start hitting a progression wall. Blueprints are not the most intuitive in ways of saving and updating. On things that feel like they have more potential, albeit already great: Like the factory (red building), theres so much depth to the crafting etc im there but at after like tier 10-12 it feels like it becomes less and less useful and becomes ehhh. I think the game is still very much in development but it seems like they're stuck to specific order of operations as optimal.. so if you really like the mining and factory or whatever, be prepared for those to eventually become less and less important.
