It doesn't matter what Ei did(which turned out to be obviously the right choice. He was rejected as a vessel for his unchecked emotions and now acts out of unchecked emotions to do evil and hurt people.) Traveler has a similar story. But they decide to help others instead. Every sociopath has a sob story. It doesn't give them free reign to tear apart countries and participate in mass genocide just because they were declared rightfully unfit for leadership.

Moments like this are why I stay with English VA It's just so tragic. The way he says, "Don't even try!" Like, on paper it's totally in line with his typical cocky attitude, but the way the actor read the line makes it land so differently. Instead of being, "Don't even try because you're not going to succeed," it's, "don't even try because I'm scared you might succeed." 😭
