Lived in Bendigo for majority of my childhood and teenage years, moved to the big city as a young adult, and now I’ve moved away to the other side of the world! Gee you don’t think you would miss a small little city much but in fact you do! I can’t wait to go back!

I understand that feeling and hope it brings you many childhood memories 🤝

If you've been away for a while you might be surprised how big the place is now.

Ive lived in australia in 2015. 2 months in bendigo. It is a wonderful city. I have a lot of beautiful memories. And while i have my own home that i appreciate, I often wonder what course my life would have taken if I had stayed there. Thank you for this video. Hopefully I will come visit you again!

Same feelings. Been there between 2013 and 2015 at La Trobe. Had to return home. Still dreaming of going back there.

A very scenic look around ole Bendigo town, i lived there for 25 years up until 1991, a lot has changed in the CBD, in particular the Bendigo Bank head office and the parks and gardens, Pall Mall still looks the same the historic buildings like the Shamrock hotel, The old post office And the law courts are as they were for over 100 years, I think this video camera was mounted on the roof rack of a 4x4 , cos the view is much higher than from a sedan, great stuff brings back happy memories cheers from Geelong,❤️🦘🦘🦘🇦🇺

Bendigo is the largest inland city in Victoria. It is on the Northern Slopes of the Great Divide so it gets the inland climate. Warm days even in winter. It has so many beautiful buildings as remnants of the wealth of the gold rush. Not only that but the roads were a lot more generous than in Ballarat which was also based on the gold rush. Geelong has been a suburb of Melbourne in effect for many years now. Even Ballarat has become filled with people who commute to Melbourne. Bendigo has some of these courtesy of the fast train but its function had been as a hub for a lot of the rural areas of the North of the State. There is quite a lot to enjoy about the place.

Thank you, I lived there until 1965, it's recognizable but much has changed. But surely you mean "populous" and not "popular"?

Yes, you are right! What I mean is populous, the 4th largest city in Victoria. Thank you!
