I'm right here in Shenzhen, and I'm also into that first-person perspective street photography vibe. Next time you're in town, hit me up and I'll take you to capture some more down-to-earth street snaps. Let's make it happen!

Love this kind of content. Love the city vibes. It feels very relatable to anyone who goes out travelling. I think when you say by turning up your already winning - that hit home with me, I've not been turning up. Lovely candid photos. Very motivating video. I'm going to get out and about. Thank you.

Shenzhen is a huge city, you were in futian district, it's known for its electronics markets and CBD. It does feel slighty empty since most people there a office workers. In the future, check out luoho districts, it has more character there and way more people. Most of the interesting places are not concentrated in one locations so it is spread out across the city, luckily for you, the metro system is fantastic and super cheap.
@Opticalwander8 ай бұрын
Thank you ❤️ with the small amount of time I had free I did stick to the Futian area because that’s where the train was back to HK not knowing the city etc I didn’t want to risk missing my train back ❤ I will come back for sure but it was a nice introduction 📸

It’s a city very lacking in character, no history and little cultural interest, which is evident in the photos from this video (not the fault of the photographer!). Having lived there myself, and being someone who is also a street photographer, I do know of some places in the city that are slightly better for street photography but there are so many other Chinese cities more suitable.

Well that's a big lesson you've there! Something I struggle with at times as well. Can't wait to see what you'll come up with DJI 🙂😅 Did you record the pov using a phone or was that your GoPro shifting focus at times? 🙂

Great video. Quick question. I am in a small city and I've taken lots of photos. And this place has not any interesting places. I feel like I've shot everything, any idea to be more creative in small city?
@Opticalwander8 ай бұрын
I know London is a big city but here me out, when I lived there I shot it basically every day for 3 years it definitely became very small. What I found was changing up my set up. Trying different lenses, cameras, styles. Setting my self tasks to find stories really helped. It can be difficult but have a moment to think about what you can do differently. What’s the city ? 🙏🏼
@mhterekli8 ай бұрын
@@Opticalwander Thank you so much for your answer. Once in a time I’ve tried to take photos of circle stuff in the city and that felt different, thought like “yeah maybe there are things that I have not find yet”. Now I am trying to get shot portraits of people without they notice obviously 🫢. I guess need to think more out of the box. The city is Turkiye/Kirklareli by the way.

Tamron 35-150mm f2/2.8 is probably the best lens on the market. Fact that there is no Canon mount I think was a bad move by Canon
@Opticalwander3 ай бұрын
Unfortunately that’s canon for you! You could get a mount converter just not ideal. But yes I agree the 35-150mm is hands down the best lens on the market in my opinion.

@@fishxutopia_haze doesn’t always mean bag air quality it can often just be humidity. Tbh the app on my phone that I use for weather everywhere I go said the air quality was pretty good this day. London can get pretty bad sometimes as well. But yes. China is known for its bad air quality. If you notice however it’s not too loud that’s because there’s actually quite a lot of electric cars.

And ? Not every athlete, racing driver goes out on track each time and sets PB. Not every designer creates a million dollar project every time. Not every photographer takes award winning photos every time. But I showed up, I created and documented a city I had never been. A city some may never even see. The narrative of this video is I only had 3 hours but I wanted to enjoy taking photos while I was there and I did. The photos are just a bi-product of me enjoying my time. If you don’t like them. Then that’s all it is. Nothing changes. Have a great day ❤️
