@1:25 this was the beginning of the moving walkway like many in Vegas they would take you from one area to another. On the left and right sides there were dozens of live exotic birds and parrots that would talk to you as you passed by. During the the Tropical years of the Tropicana, when the statues of Easter Island stood out in front. Truly a magical time as a young man in Las Vegas.

Ironic for a good portion of the walkway the song played was Mellencamp "when the walls come crumblin down...."

They were playing 80's music. 1983 songs like Maniac and Crumblin' Down. The 1980's had the best music. Why is this casino closing? Is it being razed for something else or a newer casino? I went to Atlantic City in 1995 after I turned 21 on a bus trip and we gambled a bit. It was the only time I gambled. I live in eastern PA 55 miles north of Philly.

i noticed that too when i was there during the same time. tons of great music being played, someone here had a good music taste. madonna, touch of grey by grateful dead, etc. and it’s being torn down for supposedly an MLB stadium. i think it’s stupid and very unlikely

Will be missed. I guess sports will bring in more money. Its a shame all that renovation money is down thr tubes.

It won't be just a ballpark bringing in money. Bally's is also building a brand new casino resort on the site.
