On the way up, you probably passed some old mine entrances. They are mostly covered in now. There is even an amethyst mine on the way up called the Happyjack, it is privately owned now. But years ago it was open to the public and you could go in there and get beautiful amethyst.

About the Lil one, my mother had a Chiauua and took a lot of puppies and sold them to people. I love your work and films.

Love the Bradshaw Mountains and the rich mining history. The route you took is the easiest way up, but I used to like to go up there from Prescott via Senator Highway. This is more difficult nowadays due to post fire road damage, etc. It is nice that Crown King, and the area in general, stole a piece of your heart. ❤ How could it not? It is one of Arizona's hidden gems! Thank you for the fine video and tribute to CK. 👍

@@davidgale4604 I’ve been to Crown Kind. Stopped at the general store, and yes bought some fudge. Very interesting day trip. On the way up to Crown King, I believe it was from Bumble Bee, you go past a old bar. Need to stop there too, as it’s quite the experience. It was about 19 years ago, so maybe my memory is off on where I started from.

back in the early 2000's, the crown king golf tournament was a blast. one hole , 3 miles long... you'd just keep hitting your golf ball down a dirt road, only one club allowed, but endless balls could be purchased to raise money for the ''town''.. we'd get hella drunk, get lost, get found, drink more beer than recommended, plenty of coolers on atv's would drive up and down the dirt road serving ice cold beverages from the back of the atv.. the saloon was where the hole was.... then it was a crazy bbq/party at the saloon, miss those great times..

It's been several years since I've been to CK, doesn't look like it's changed much. I went to the Saloon, of course, and the cafe. When I was a kid, I went to a one room school house (grades 1-6) and the teacher would give all the other grades work to do while she focused on one. Consequently, because of watching what the 3rd graders were learning (while I was in 2nd), I skipped the 3rd grade. I have a friend who worked at the Saloon one year, and she drove that road every day....can you imagine?

Happy Birthday Saraha and many many more to come as well. My sobriety anniversary is coming up at midnight June the 4th, 1980. This is 44 years off of everything and cigarettes too. I smoked about four packs a day in early recovery a lot of them burned up. This weekend at Akron University is AA birthday 89th annual. They get about 10000 people at $35.00 a head and this is $350,000.00 we are not profit and really don't need to be having this much money around the Akron intergroup office. I did not know who one was today, whith her hair or dreadlocks uncovered. i thought it was someone else. On that off the grid property will have to be a well, or a tank to hold water that is to be refill a big tote. An out house with a composting buicket in it. The solids are separte from the liquids. A bath house and this I would build a bit bigger just in case. Then one's cabin. May have to check on the building codes to see if a septic system has to be installed on the property to live there. Where the leeching field goes it has to be tested to see if it has enough run off. I see people giving Wonderhussy $100 dollars bills. This biker left a $100 on her windshield. Maybe one will get some money today too. I just live on my check and this is it. A trailor can be placed on the property. A cabin can be built up. I like a fairly sized A-frame for me. On the bottom of it is three or four foot straight walls then the A's over top of this. Please enjoy the day I will too. Paul in Ohio I am three months away from 70 on August 9th, 1954 been wanting just to take off a few and people just wont let me do this. Ha Ha Ha
