This is probably the best "This is Quartzsite" video out there. Your camera work is great, voice calm and informative, and the entire video makes it very appealing without bumpy camera work or random mumbling about this or that. Good job. It felt like riding around a new area with an old friend, surrounded by good vibes.

Great video Sarah. I have been enjoying watching your videos. In November 2018, I took off to Arizona in my campervan with my 3 year old green cheek conure parrot. I was a lil anxious and worried, but actually way more excited driving all the way from the east coast. What delicious freeedom I felt once my nerves settled down. I ended up staying my first night in Arizona at Scadden Wash. There was a little 🎄tree to my right of where I ended up parking. I called it my little tree. I met other travelers and some of us still remain in contact through texting and phone calls. I have great great memories celebrating Christmas in the Arizona desert 🏜 with 5 strangers. I moved around in Arizona between different blm land. campgrounds. I even took a break and stayed at an RV park for 1.5 months. It was nice being able to plug into luxuries like water and electricity. Missed the quietness, wildness and excitement of boondocking while parked at the RV park, so I left and went back to staying offgrid. Also visited and stayed at the Indian Resevation in Parker, Arizona. The drive to Lake Havasu from Parker was breathtaking. Sedona's red rocks and sand are beautiful. Will stop here, too much to list. For those thinking of traveling, don't be afraid to get out. You'll be glad you did. My parrot passed away while in Arizona during my first trip. I cried like a baby. I adopted a Yorkie-poo 🐶 while in Lake Havesu. Plan on returning to Arizona, but it will be in my Subaru as it will be much cheaper on gas. ❤

I’m in Joshua Tree trying to work up the courage to leave San Diego .. my hubby got laid off the day after the election so now would be a good time to scramdaddle 🎉 we spent a month in Big Bear/Lake Arrowhead but Xmas priced us out. Everyone is saying go to Arizona cuz it’s cheaper but we lived off grid for 4 years in the Jacumba mountains lol kinda done ✅ anyway thanks for the info I dunno why but the older you get the harder it is to ride out to the unknown 🥹.. safe travels ❤

Great little place to catch up, but the town gets crazy congested during the RV show mid Jan to mid Feb, big tent is open. Check out Silly Al’s for pizza, yacht club for good eats, and Beer Belly for some live music and brew. I just returned from Quartzite. Safe travels

Not a full time nomad boon docker but 4 and a half months travelling all over North America and will drive back to my appartement in Montreal during mid April when the weather gets nice at my home. It’ll be great to meet you at the RTR and or the big tent. Have a great visit here. I’m a musician.

But, I cannot afford to live in any apartment anywhere right now w/the rents sky high so I just want to try to get into van life, it's hard to start off with little to no money and just taking such a big chance w/out emergency funds, I've had the worst luck in life with cars also...so trying to get enough together before the summer, then trying to get a job either in cali, oregon or washington for the summer, I want to see the northwest the most though!

Thanks for the tour of Quartsite is it a desert ?, Certainly is a large area to camp out or spend the night . I think Id want to be tucked into the treed area out of wind and dust. We have similar here in Ontario and Canada in general we call it crown land , most have lakes and streams , Mountains on backroads we can stay 21 days before having to move a few yards . Interesting story re the compass to help the pilots . the mountains would be worth your while to see there. nice area for Little one to run. Thanks Sarah for showing us

Quartzsite is all desert. If you head West to Ehrenberg (a few minutes), you can camp on BLM land on the Colorado river as well. Sarah @WanderingJeepsy did a video about that compass location last year (I think) on Plomosa Road.
