For alarm setting press right arrow by the ok button on right side of steering wheel, scroll down to setup, press right arrow again, scroll down to alarm & press right again, select reduced. This will mean internal scan is deactivated, allowing you to be inside vehicle when alarm is on.

I sleep in a ford, you have to climb in the back then lean over into the cab and lock the doors with the door lock, not the key, also when locking the car with the key, press it twice to activate the immobiliser if its fitted with one.

I used to sleep on the backs of the seats of my people carrier (by putting a board across them all until I had the space to store the seats when removed). Then used the same board on the floor of the car for putting my mattress down on - fab more headroom when sitting up in bed etc. Game changer.

If you use your key in the key slot on drivers door to lock it whilst leaving the rear door you get in and out of open when you lock it the alarm won't go off , the alarm also has a ferry mode which you can find out how to set in handbook or internet which means you can set the alarm once your in the car and it won't go off, take your pick ya know ya know, boomshanka me old mate. I have just found out the same thing with my alarm on my ford transit custom that I have just converted. If you go into settings on your steering wheel you can go to alarm and change it to partial alarm from full. This locks the doors but not the internal sensors but only lock the car with the fob once and don't double lock or the full alarm will come back on. Keep up the great work. 👍

I didn't even know you could mess with the alarm settings. Mine has always been 1 press for doors 2 for alarm but if I'm inside just use the door buttons. (64 tourneo custom)

Look at drivers door lower down then look towards the colum where door shuts.. so inbetwen the drivers door and back door column there should be a switch to turn sensors off while you are in car. This will make you able to lock car with out alarm going off

There might be a button the dashboard with a person and a sensor signal.. That would be the proximity sensor to to stop the alarm going off if you had a dog locked in the car or something

Great seeing you out in the new crib and loving it fella 👌 Just one thing on the lighting inside, is there a reason you go with battery powered? I've got some in mine where they are just USB powered so you can just put a small rechargeable battery pack on them like those you get for phone charging - charge up easily while driving about on 12v and plus you can use it for phone when out about if you need too, I like the flexibility and not having to buy aa or what ever. Just thought I'd mention it incase you might find that useful too 😉 Keep on keeping on!

Hey bud, you might have a switch on the B pillar, between the front and rear door to turn the motion sensor off. Or if like the VW, just lock the door from the inside using the door lock switch which you will find usually where the leccy window switches are on the drivers door trim. Looks humongous inside that new crib !

Loving the new crib mate. I have the same car but a different spec. Mine has a massive center console storage box but no overhead storage lockers. strange. Its the same mk but a tdci titanium model. Great for car camping 🏕 though. Plenty of room I just put all seats down self inflating air bed and a gas hob. Plus managed to buy pre cut curtains that go all round the car from Amazon. There not Black out though so still need some black outs...

There will be a button somewhere to turn the alarm inside on, inside the car. Tip told to me, use that and not the key, when your in the car for a car camp and the alarm will not go off. Padlock symbol, failing that you will have a car alarm button in the car, press that and it should disengage the alarm until you press it again. I really like the crib, massive inside and seats flat a bonus. £2k crib bonus. What year? I am itching to get back out. A lot of shit has happened and exercise and hikes have slipped. Will be out and about soon. Prepping the crib for it. Solo female Car camper 🇬🇧

I think the galaxy is the same as the S Max Adam? You can deactivate the interior alarm via buttons on the steering wheel via settings! 👍

I’d get all that tackle installed in the galaxy. Like you said be like a van then, once you’ve whipped the seats out. Seats out, install a fixed single bed down one side. A small unit with the cooking tackle & a couple of cupboards, one to store food one for clothes. Also remember the fridge! That can be plugged in too 👍🏼

With that power pack you’ll be able to run a decent electric heater. I’d defo get it fully set up mate. Saves the faff in the long run and you’ve more time to get out exploring and editing vids. You’ve got the biscuit tin to run kids about 👍🏼

@@wanderingwhere could probably do it semi fixed if you wanted. Like build a frame for a bed that can be put in the car, and similar with units that slot into place. Maybe use them for the more than 2 nighters. That said, if you have the other car then maybe the way ahead is built in permanently. Incorporate the power pack and fridge. A little worktop space would be ideal for cooking on and also for the editing work. Whatever you decide will be cool. For me it’s about getting out and about 👍🏼

Don't the front seats rotate in a galaxy? They should coz that's what I fitted in my Vivaro. Spin them and double your interior space, then throw your blanket over the back of them to blot out the windscreen, happy travels.

Ref your alarm, there should be a button to turn off the interior sensors. Google is your friend as most car have these buttons in the craziest of places. Liking the new crib though 👍🏻 Oh and your passenger seat could be a fold flat jobby like the rear ones? Just a thought…..

@@wanderingwhere So I have an S-Max so am watching this series like a hawk as they are almost the same car albeit mine looks like a car at the back not an mpv so yours will be way better!! Cruise control on mine is on the steering wheel, the left three buttons turn it on and off and the right set of buttons change the speed etc. The alarm on mine, you take the key out and it shows a message where you can hit OK (on the steering wheel again) to ignore the sensors on the alarm or there is a setting (use the direction buttons on the wheel) on the dash display to turn them off by default. Can't tell you exactly as I have a Convers+ dash rather than the red LCD but it should be similar if not the same. Love my S-Max by the way, had it 4 years now and it's been a great car and like you say they are great to drive, proper comfy too!
