Y'all this is one crazy Austin Texas vlog! And it's hard to believe this is the same state we almost froze in during the Texas Freeze. With the freeze behind us, we figured the responsible thing to do was to get a checkup for the Airstream at the nearest dealer.

I just saw a close up of Daniel hooking up the F-250. You all REALLY need to add the TPMS system (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) for the AS - your F-250 is already pre-wired for it and it will display on your dash just like the truck tire read out! It makes that dummy plug under your 7-pin connection a real one that you just hook the system into (plus you have to add sensors to each of the trailer wheels, which requires them to be dismounted). With all the traveling you all do, you do NOT want to have a tire failure! I hooked mine up (and I'm even less mechanically inclined than Daniel!) in less than an hour (tires changed by pros).

Very cool y'all lol, when I got my tattoo, the guy said to use carmax on it, it worked great and heal very fast, you will laugh if you see it. One tip for kayaking, keep some zip lock bags handy for your stuff, phone money keys, old timer shared that with me, it will float to 90% of the time. 🖐😉

If you get to Montana during the summer you need to hike to mystic lake and go soak in the hot springs at Chico hot springs in paradise valley. Best part is lots of fishing access in Montana have free boondocking campsites.

@@Wanderlocal hi Daniel an Lauren if I were to haul kayaks ? I'd put a roof rack on my truck topper. But I was really thinking for my river valley here in Canada🇨🇦 kayaking would be spectacular here. Float the river! My Jon boat is to heavy to haul around and I find I don't use it as much.kayak is the way to go. But I agree hauling alot of gear cause then you have life jackets paddles ,boat shoes.It gets to be alot. Unless your a serious kayaker maybe best to rent.

Great question! I (Daniel) researched walkie talkies extensively and wanted one that was 1) rugged, 2) was legal without the need for an FCC license, and 3) had great battery life in case we were every in a situation that went sideways! We eventually chose Rocky Talkies and have zero regrets. I'll clip it to my pant loop when using them, and the battery last for almost a month without a recharge. So....that has me wondering....was there any damage to the airstream from the cold? I thought that they had 4 season ratings?

Great question! There ended up being no damage at all. The only thing that was broken was our winter camping confidence, but we'll get that back soon. 🤣We are now locked and loaded with full generators and two extra 5-gallon gas cans. I (Daniel) think if the Alde system hadn't run out of power, it wouldn't have been as bad, but, when it drops to the 30's inside you start to lose your mind fast! We learned so much from that experience and are now thankful for it.

Please, Please, Please don't ride with your bare feet on the dash. My friends daughter did this and she and her boyfriend were in a car accident. Her bare feet went through the windshield. She almost lost her life from blood loss. It took her 3 months before she could walk again. That being said, love your videos. Keep them coming.

🤣Great question. Lauren and I are all about living in the moment. That being said, Lauren designed these herself, and we knew in advance we were going to get these done. Our friend Bill is very special to us, so it was one part bonding, and one part memorializing this moment in our lives. RV life will always be part of our story. @@LuvSubbin I would make a similar statement to anyone who posted on KZbin they obtained a Harley-Davidson tattoo and were proud of it. Now obviously, I would not go up to anyone who has any ink (HD, Airstream, Nike, etc) and make a comment unless asked directly. But since this is youtube, I'm free to make comments as long as they are semi respectful. None of my relatives who are older than me have ever had any ink. It is only the younger generation, those under 40 who have embraced such body art. While I can respect the right to do it, I readily admit I do have difficulty accepting others who do. If I did choose one, it would not be a logo for an inanimate object. As some one told me 45 years ago, tattoos last forever and forever is a long time.

@Beach Living, for us, it's less about the actual Airstream and more about the life experiences and memories we've created during this period of our lives. We weren't expecting to find ourselves living in an RV in the middle of the pandemic, but it's taught us so much about the life we want to live and the people we want to be. Totally get that this wouldn't be something that would resonate with everyone, but it has a lot of meaning for us. ❤️
