Of all the buses you have worked on over the years for some reason the Wanderlodges seem to steal my heart, every dang time. The kid in me remembers the fun of riding in the SceniCruisers and the highly sought after first seat upper deck, but the adult in me sees those Wanderlodge coaches...and think "what if'. This one was no exception. Beautiful, indeed, and a new lease on life. Well done guys.

Tell him there is a control box located in close proximity to the push button panel for the levelers. Almost certainly, the problem is related to it. If the motor is bad, have him DM me, and I will send him the Amazon link for the one that fit mine. (There are a bunch of very similar models.)

I'm sure it breaks your heart to see your hard work go belly up every time there's a big storm. Gabion wall designs can be highly flexible and are appropriate for any sized project from very small to very large. You can even collect your own stone from your property to reduce cost, they last 50 to 100 years, they use them next to creeks where I live in Pennsylvania, to keep roads from washing away during heavy rain & floods. You can make them yourself using Hog pen panels & heavy gauge wire for tying them & hog rings. Foundations are not needed in most situations. DIY instructions are online. Just take a look. Great job on the Wanderlodge, it was such a death trap when it arrived.

It’s not uncommon for the Hydraulic pump to run hen raising the feet. I have two light tower plants that use the pump to lift and lower the feet. I have also had a ton of smoke come out when the solenoid got stuck and the pump motor was drawing heaps of amps working against a blocked fluid path. He will need to check his pressure relief valve.

I love the looks of the Wanderlodge.How old were the tires on that bus? I've seen quite a few RVs/Busses for sale with " practically brand new tires on it but when I'd look at the date of MFG they'd be 12 years old. For you who don't know, there's a date on each tire. It'll say 2817 for example, that means the tire was made in the 28th week of 2017. That date is printed in a little oval on just one side of the tire.

You're an amazing mechanic, really fun to watch and learn from. Please invest in a $40 ABC fire extinguisher (ABC = trash, fluids, electrical). You're way too good to lose a vehicle from a fire and you won't alway have a water hose nearby. Don't mean to be a keyboard expert- you're way out of my league my man. Stay safe.

@longliner205a43 жыл бұрын
If the leveling jacks have 2 lines on each jack cylinder then the pump would need to be on to lower the jacks, if they have big heavy return spring they do not need the pump to retract them. Leveling jacks are nothing more then a very basic hydraulic system.

@BusGreaseMonkey3 жыл бұрын
When i last saw it this bus suffered from mostly lack of use. It needed to be exercised and shook down to really find it’s strengths and weaknesses. All new airbags, shocks go a long way towards getting it ready for the highway again. The rv side needed a lot of work still. The engine and trans were in great condition
@jeffreybarger36843 жыл бұрын
@@BusGreaseMonkey I saw the video you did on this bus. We’re you able to fix the area where the tire blew and is the 30 amp and 50 amp power hook ups no working correctly? Also are all the plumbing issues taken care of?

@ronrodgers65313 жыл бұрын
Dennis Reeves, The challenges are the non-synchronized transmissions and the large size that you have to get used to. Don't be bashful to take up extra space in someone else's lane to make turns and maneuver in parking lots. You learn very quickly to respect other's space as well. They don't stop on a dime.
@jerrykinnin79413 жыл бұрын
You don't need a CDL. but go to your DMV and get the testing manual. The passenger endorsement section and air brake section specifically. Then a bunch of cones and a big vacant parking lot. The goofiest thing is the steer axle is behind you on a classic greyhound bus.
