Thank you! Yes, there’s something about the PO-33 workflow for me that is so productive! I think it’s the limitations, I work so much faster!

Grats on the new digs. Thanks for breaking down the work you do to make your tracks. Really cool what you can do with the PO-33!

Thank you! It’s been nice to have my own space for my instruments! I hope breaking the songs down makes the PO-33 easier for people to understand!

@@GarHoover Awesome. I'm working on a space of my own for jamming. It's getting there! Here's my attempt at a PO-33 song: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m2qkZo2dprdjf6M

hi! how do you decide which "non-drum" sounds to put in a melodic bank and which ones to put in a drum bank? I noticed you often record entire melodies in the drum section instead of a single note in the melodic one
@GarHoover Жыл бұрын
Hello! I put chord progressions and long melodic loops in the drum banks because I chop up the progressions and loops creatively without changing the pitch. If it is a one shot sample with a single note, I place it in the melodic bank because it can be pitched around easily.

@@GarHoover oh, I get it. But how do you decide whether to use a synth you created - for instance - in Vital as a one shot, or as a longer melodic loop? it is up to you, right?
@GarHoover Жыл бұрын
Yes it is my choice. For each song I create a batch of samples melodic notes, chord progressions, and record guitar loops that I think would all fit in a song or genre and then I put them on my PO-33 some of the sounds I end up deleting if they’re not being used.
