The Louvre is not only one of the best art museums in the world, it’s also one of the biggest. There are 35,000 objects on display out of a collection of 380,000. This walking tour features part 2 of the Louvre Museum in Sully, Richelieu, Cour Marly and Cour Puget Wing. Great display of Egyptian antiquities and its Sarcophagus and Statues. Followed by room view from the time of Louis XIV - XVI and which includes the Napoleon Apartments.
Unfortunately, the day that I recorded this virtual tour, it was extremely busy due to bad weather. But normally the museum is rather peaceful and quite. I thought precisely the same thing. Then I remembered it was a palace. Let me add that I have never been there. Now with the help of Wikipedia I have just learned it was the Royal Palace before the more famous Versailles Palace started being used in the 17th century. This panoramic walk along visit is a fantastic way to know the Museum without leaving your own house. Amazing what the new technologies can provide us, especially when we are spending most of our free time indoors due to the novel virus. Better days will come. Greetings from a Portuguese who has been to Charles de Gaulle Airport but not to Paris.

I really enjoyed your walking tour of The Louvre as I was able to re-live my visit in 2014 and you did all the walking for me. Besides seeing the Mona Lisa the painting I remember seeing the most was a very large painting of the coronation of Napoleon with The Pope in the background.
