Do you recommend the hikes for a solo traveler? Also was the botanical gardens easy to walk into? Seems a bit long of a route.
@WanderlustWellman2 күн бұрын
@@erwinwills2289 I would, except for maybe 3 Peaks because that one is a bit dangerous. It’s probably best to stay away from the more exposed ridge hikes. And yeah the walk into the gardens was a bit long for sure, but it was easy and straightforward

Nice tips! how expensive is the city bus? Is it like most places where it's flat rate per ride? I'm going to Oahu on the way to Japan and will only have like 2-3 days. I am thinking of not renting a car but I'd be afraid the bus will take to long to make the most of my time.
@WanderlustWellman10 ай бұрын
Thanks! A single fare now costs $3. That’s exciting, I’m also going back to Japan soon and I would love to stop by Oahu haha! And I guess it depends on how much you wanna see or do, a car will definitely make better use of a few days, but you could easily still have adventure packed days if you are willing to spend a good amount of time on the bus

Hi... Thank you for the video... Can you please let me know, if we can get regular bus service from Polynesian cultural centre towards 8/9pm?? Or is it better to book the travel by the centre itself?? It is very costly...
@WanderlustWellmanАй бұрын
@@poonamkhemani5770 no problem! And I really can’t answer that, but here’s what you can do to find out: If you use google maps (either the website or the app), you can type in where you’re departing from and where you want to go and then select the time you want to go. Then you can select method of transportation (drive, walk, bicycle, public transport). Select public transport, then it will tell you what the bus route would be. Best of luck!

Nice information including some places that other videos did not cover. I’m not sure why you included surfing into the not budget friendly section at the end. Surfing isn’t expensive and is a lot of fun. Only one complaint about the video was some butchering of the location names. I don’t know why but it has always been important to me to get names correct.
@WanderlustWellman9 ай бұрын
Thanks, and I guess my point with surfing is that surf lessons are expensive - I'm sure like myself, many people going to Hawaii have no idea how to surf so getting started can be a bit pricey.

@@poonamkhemani5770 hi! Hawaii is an overall very safe place to travel - one of the biggest things you have to worry about is car break ins, which wouldn’t apply if you don’t have a rental car. Also, you might see some homeless people/people on drugs downtown in Waikiki, on the bus, near bus stops, or in some of the more built up areas but they usually keep to themselves and I would just give them distance
