What a brave courageous beautiful smart wonderful woman Waneek is !! The Mohawk nation was on the just side of the oka crisis! They were right to protect their burial ground! A young teenage girl defending her young scared sister and that cowardly soldier stabbed her! I’m as disgusted and furious now as I was then when it happened!!

The photo of Horn-Miller on the ground shows the soldier so calm, but doesn't show his bayonet with which he just stabbed her, hard enough to knock her over. If it hadn't hit her on the sternum, it could have killed her. What gives?

+Ross Jason Boehm Lai soldiers have a standard kit which includes rifle, sidearm, mags, gas mask, bayonet (knife), frags, sometime smoke grenades, flashlight, medkit ect plus alot of them have personal pocket knives on top of that so yes they always have knives actually alot of soldiers usually have a knife in and out of uniform because it just generally comes in handy for anything like to open or cut things or even to unscrew something. even cops carry knives

While I do not discount what happened to this woman at Oka back in 1990. She has been fortunate enough to be able to tell her story many times over since that incident. Strangely, the CBC, CTV, Global nor City-TV has extended the same courtesy to the family of the murdered QPP officer from that time.
