Electric cars can be rather beastly. The hate towards electrics is silly. That said some hydrogen options need to pop off. We have a super effienct hydrogen engine that works kinda like a turbo you can daisy chain them for more hp and they're like 350 hp while getting better effiency then anything currently. Throw a hybrid system on top and steal the tech from amg where you use exhaust games to spin a turbine generator even at idle and it'd be a beastly car. Just have electric motors aid the hydrogen motors. And power some wheel hub motors in a gtr attesa type system. The torque being available instantly would be evil and less issues with drive shafts snapping and you can control the whole torque steering and prevent it with that kinda set up. It's gonna be annoying working on electrics at first. But eventually hybrid tech for diy projects will get way better. Along with solid state battery tech and auoer capacity tech.

Well it's got a proactive AWD system that prevents traction loss by transferring torque to different tires so I guess it's easy to drive, as long as the driver isn't super aggressive with it.

Jun is a legend. I'm hoping they have a smokey nagata reference but I doubt it. At some point I'm totally building my own version of juns 350R. Awd attesa gtr transmission and transfer case swap with some other bits to complete it. I've always loved the z cars. 350z done in a blue like the Devils z. Engine built up nice. Awd swap with the r35 gtr electromagnetic clutch mod for the transfer case. Let's me go rwd or awd and gets better and faster lock up for the front wheels. Wide body it with a nice aero kit. Extra rear rubber and good suspension. Modern Devils z.

This is kind of a weird show, I feel like concentrates more on the love and relationships for cars instead of about technique, skill and art that came with racing mountain passes in intial d. Like being able to read/feel the road and get in that flow of driving but with this it almost seems like they just kind of mash the gas. All though a lot of concentration and focus does go into it.

What a bunch of know-it-all people. Takumi shouldn't be compared to Akio. They are different from each other and they got a different set of skills and environment Akio is still getting used to the car, but he'll get better and acquire skills. He ain't Takumi who's got a dad who trains him to drive (and drift) at a young age As for Akio crashing often: Devil Z has 600hp twin turbo engine with a massive turbo lag until 4500rpm. Chassis is also lightweight at 1100kg or less, and a pretty short wheelbase too. That's like a JGTC / SuperGT race car with 100hp more, minus the wide body and GT Wing. Even a skillfull driver will spin out (or crash) while driving this car. Highway racing in Japan requires skill. Wangan racers have to cruise around 200km/h minimum, and hit a top speed of more than 300km/h. They also need to watch out the regular cars and cargo trucks driving on the highway too. And they continuously run and race for 15 minutes or more Wangan Midnight is based on the story of the notorious and the most legendary car club / racing team in Japan that ever existed. And thats the "Mid Night Club" (Not the game by Rockstar. The game was also loosely based on them) Devil Z and Blackbird was also based on two of the cars in the Mid Night Club. Blackbird = Yoshida Specials Porsche 930 Devil Z = ABR Hosoki S130 Fairlady Z (technically) / Speed Shop Shinohara S30 Fairlady Z (body / exterior)

Takumi is very skilled driving on the mountain, but on Wangan, the 86 will be easily smoked by stuff like GT-R, moreover drift won't really help, grip are what's important here, and i don't think Takumi are experience enough dodging constant trafic at high speed, while Akio practically do that when on 200-330 km/h
