Cherish a woman that will fly with you. My wife of 41 years passed away at the end of October. She wasn't a rated pilot but loved to fly and travel, was a meticulous pre-flighter ("If I'm going to fly in this thing, I want to be right!"), and was a great copilot. Live the dream...

So sorry for your loss Larry. I too lost my wife of 41 years at the end of July. I’m not a pilot but I’ve been an aviation buff all my life and have flown with several private pilot friends. I have way more time as a passenger in helicopters with a former employer. My wife wasn’t really interested in aviation but would willingly go to air shows because I was. She even planned a weekend getaway once that included an airshow. Sounds like you had one of the best. Hope you are able to continue your flying. I’m sure your copilot will still be there watching over you. May God Bless!

As a pilot for 61 years and a Flight Instructor since December, 1966, I still tilt my head skyward to see what's flying over. No longer medically qualified, so I view many aviation videos to satisfy my taste for the sky. 8,500 hours of safe flying in helicopters and airplanes and the earth by air is beautiful and priceless. I remember the first time I saw a USAF KB-50 refueling a B-36! Aviation has come a verrrrry long way!

I can’t say I really enjoyed my GA flying days. I went to an accelerated part 141 flight school and went from 0 hrs to CFII in about a year. The fire hose treatment. It did the job but all my memories were cramming for check rides, students trying to kill me and lack of sleep. Didn’t have time to sit back and enjoy it. Instructed through about 2k hours through the 2009 recession until the airlines started hiring again, was excited to get out and never really looked back. I did maybe 2 leisure GA flights in that 2.5 year period. One being DVT-SEZ maybe 15 years ago and I still remember how scenic it was, probably one of the only GA flights I can still remember in detail. Point is the production level of a vid like this makes it almost seem enjoyable. Maybe down the road I’ll get into it as a hobby! I’ve always wanted to get my seaplane rating. Keep making these cool vids!

In your early days on KZbin, I reached out to you on FB messenger to go up with you on one of your flights. We had it planned, I was going to pay half of the fuel cost. The day before, the plane that you wanted to fly was unavailable so you canceled. I was lazy and didn't follow up for doing another flight. I check in on your channel from time to time and it's nice to see you doing so well. I regret not doing that flight with you. I live in Tucson and would love to get some training on how to properly lean for take off, as well as the relatively new to me "lean of peak" method for cruise. Any recommendations? A few months ago, I took a CFII friend up for a flight, and much to my surprise, he pushed my mixture control to full rich on take off! It was 90 degrees that day. I always lean just slight when it's really hot. Is that good or not? We had a good discussing about it afterwords. Personally, I don't like ANYONE touching the power controls on take off.

Really appreciate the aerial views of the Sedona landmarks I've come to know and love. Discovered the southwest through a visit to Sedona in 2013, knew immediately that I must have been a southwesterner in a past life. Came back a bunch of times and discovered Prescott to Sedona's west, and the Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, which my youngest son then attended -- ended up not being a pilot but an aerospace engineer, now working for Lockheed Space Systems since 2018. We moved from NY State to Prescott in 2017, love being only short drive from Sedona instead of a 2500 mile flight. Have always wanted to take an aerial tour but loved your video -- Airport Mesa, Capitol Butte, Chimney Rock, the Courthouse, Cathedral Rock, Bell Rock, Ship Rock and all the others so beautifully laid out below. Gotta take an air tour. Or maybe it's not to late to go back and finish getting a license myself after starting and running out of money back in my 20s in the 1970s.... Thanks!

I envy the two of you. I earned my single engine recip in 77' at 17, learned in a 172 but migrated to a 412 Rockwell Aero-Commander which we owned. My best friend growing up in MA. went to Embry Riddle and taught me to fly when we were kids. I have traveled extensively both commercially and private jet after he was killed in a crash off of Andros Island in the Bahama's in 1980 but I let my license lapse and have not flown by myself since. We used to fly everywhere in that plane, it was a date magnet. I remember going to Wendy's on Cape Cod just because it was the only Wendy's in the state at the time. I really miss moving myself being pulled thru the air! Josh, marry the girl already, she's a diamond in the rough!

I didn't realize until recently you guys are now based in Kingman for a while. My wife and I own a Cherokee 160 across the way at Sun Valley Airport, A20. We have done Sedona and Grand Canyon multiple times together. One of these days we should meet up and fly somewhere double date style. 😊

Two Peas in a Pod. The two of you complement one another splendidly. I’m putting Sedona on my bucket list. I noticed when you were on final into Kingman, there appeared to be what looked a number of Delta Airlines jets all parked together. Is that one of their storage locations?

Hi Guys Great video and great team work. Chelsea needs to do a video series on getting her tailwheel endorsement and then a trip to Oshkosh in a cub. Big demand for KZbin tail wheel videos especially since Kevin Quinn blew up the Flying Cowboys.

Always good to land a little long there due to wind shear. I wad there when a Debonaire hit a downdraft. 3 people died. Also density altitude in the summer. A 172 becomes a 2 place airplane if you fill up with fuel. Great place. Not for beginners.

Yes, yes, yes. Steep approach and land on the aim marks. There have been several accidents there because of downdrafts off the "USS Sedona." Lean for takeoff, too. one of my favorite places. Tri-Pacer and Mooney based at E95 (Benson, AZ).

Awesome video! I took the biplane tour while In Sedona saw the ruins carved into the cliff faces and other sites. On your next visit I recommend the 45 minute biplane tour.
