Believing isn’t all it takes. Paul asked the Ephesians in Acts 19 if they’d “ … received the Holy Ghost since they believed?” because without it we don’t belong to Jesus (Rom 8:9). It’s the Spirit of adoption (Rom 8:15) and it’s not given automatically when we believe (Act 8:12,16).

Good study so far, I’m at 22 minutes. However you cannot forget John 14:15 “If ye love me keep my commandments” I think Jesus was referring to the Ten Commandments, and He alone can help us keep them. The first 4 teach us how to Love God, the last 6 teach us how to love others. We may fail daily but his grace sustains us and His righteousness will carry us from glory to glory. 🙏♥️

I am righteous through Jesus Christ. I went to Bible Study at church tonight and then came home and listened to this. I thank God that he has blessed Johnny with the intelligence and the Holy Spirit to break this down and teach the word in a way we can understand and apply the teachings in our life. Our church advises to be cautious of KZbin channels on teaching the word, but Johnny Chang is the real deal. I watched his testimony many months ago and I didn't forget Johnny out of so many that I have watched. His testimony not only moved me but also appreciated how explained the Word when he conversed with his Pastor. God knew I had been thinking about Johnny's testimony and then he showed up in my feed. I subscribed and been listening ever evening since. I want to grow my relationship with God, but I struggle when I read my Bible as I need the depth to the message.

I love your content and your testimony, I grew up in a church ⛪️ from birth, i am a survivor of the potters house Christian church, Pentecostal ( a cult church ) my pastor was molesting little girls. And everything was seen as a sin. Watching movies, listening to the radio, going to the movies with boys. When I was young I didn’t really realize what was happening. But when I got older I knew I never fit in with other kids because I knew nothing of the world.Even sitting by a boy in church was seen as a sin. Everything was ran through fear . They would have skits of demons every night about if you do any of these things you would go to hell. This made me afraid of the dark and going to hell for years ( I still struggle with it. They taught that you could lose your salvation if you do any of your sins. My mom took me away from that cult when I was 9 and I turned to the world for answers and got caught up in sexual immorality, and eating disorders. When I was 19 I truly got saved because I learned about Jesus and learned that I would never be perfect but through him I am. I was bulimic for years and when I gave my life to Christ I was freed from it . Even though the church ⛪️ where I was at was horrible Jesus was still present. So I thank god that I had a foundation built before I was taken into the real 🌎 world of Jesus. Although churches /pastors scare people away Jesus will still use them to get to you !!

True repentence = metanoia (koine greek word) Meta = transcend Noia = your mind Metanoia - transcend your mind How? How do you go above your thoughts? You transcend your mind by putting the word of God above your thoughts. This is true repentence. Why dont we ask for forgiveness? Because Jesus has already forgave you my friend. Practice true metanoia. the word of God says youre PERFECT, HOLY, SANCTIFIED and RIGHTEOUS FOREVER! Not because you do good, but only because Jesus didnt fail on the cross. Unfortunately, your thoughts will still say "i sin everyday". So use metanoia and put the word of God that says youre righteous and holy forever, above the thoughts that say youre a sinner. Jesus has already made you righteous, just believe. God doesnt hear sinners: John 9:31 "Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth" How should we pray? Mark 11:24 "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." 1. Pray 2. Believe you already have it 3. And you will recieve it Most people pray, wait to recieve it and then believe. But that requires no faith. And without faith, it is impossible to please God. As a Christian, we dont look at our situation, we believe in the word of God above our thoughts. Because even though our thoughts lie to us, God cannot lie. When he says Hebrews 10:14 "For by one offering, he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified" He cannot lie and suddenly change what he has promised. He has already made you perfect and its for eternity. Just believe!

Hi Johnny, I hope this reaches you since you did this a year ago. I came across your testimony, and it was so amazing that I had to look you up. I came across this video of yours called Wanna get to Heaven. I listen to everything you were saying and you made is so easy to understand for me. I want to thank you so much for what your doing. You explain things clearly and say twice just in case we didn’t get the first time. I remember in your testimony you had questions about God and our Lord and Savior and no one had an answer for you until the day you took you mom to church and you could smell the black noodles cooking and found out that the church was cooking them. Let me get to the point . You went in with the pastor and had a bowl to eat. You both were talking and down the line you for to ask why your so empty etc..finally a pastor had answer all your questions about God and Jesus and so much more. My question to you is why do people blame God and Jesus when bad things happen to them? Or if things don't go there way they get mad at them? I tell them not to be that way. God and Jesus which I know are 1 do only good. Help me with this please Johnny. I want to be able to make people under more about God and Jesus and to get rid of their terrible thoughts.
