Even the musicians in the background, while it appeared they were trying to be serious, were occasionally cracking smiles, which means everyone was having a good time. The original was still a good Pop song. I grew up with my idols the Beatles who were masters of ultimate Pop songs & not a disgrace. Where are the great Pop songs now? And not since the Beatlemania days the Spice Girls became a worldwide phenomena. One publication mentioned the Beatles in '63: John Paul George & Ringo & that stuck, we now ALL knew them & no one else got that printed logo. Snap! late 90s a newspaper decided to give each Spice Girls a nickname: Scary Spice Baby Spice.. Bingo! Like my parents I now knew them all & begrudgingly didn't not like WannaBe. It was nicely recorded by the Spices. I tip my hat.

This cover sounds more self-confident and mature than the original, like "honey, I know you don't like it, but you better listen to me 😊" and I like it very much ❤

These are my favorite Postmodern Jukebox tunes-the ones that are SO different from their original arrangements that you take a second to recognize them! I was introduced to PMJ through “BioShock Infinite,” so that makes sense (this song would be right at home in Columbia). Thanks for the smile! :D

This is just absolutely fantastic; I love the harmonies of The Andrews Sisters, and your takes on contemporary songs. Thank you for doing this.

one of the best ones pmj has done for sure. super unique, tight as hell, flows, no awkward sounding parts great volume control for dynamics and creating that digital delay sounding vox

Love this version. I can't keep my eyes off Therese. She did such a good job staying in character the whole way through; every gesture is just right. I love the costume touches that fit the era and give a clever nod to Baby Spice too, eg. all pink, but the pink that fits the era not hot pink. The pigtails and lollipop seem to fit well too- just looks like a cutie who could be the other Andrews sister. Love it. The others are also great visually and vocally.

So fine. "Wannabe" by The Spice Girls was and still is a favorite, but, this Post Modern Jukebox rendition of the song in the style of The Andrews Sisters is exceptionally fine. Thanks, Olivia, Sara, Therese, Scott, and The Band. Great!

I imagine going for a walk through the woods one summer day. In the distance there is this song, vaguely familiar. As it gets louder, a little cottage appears, in a glen, sunbeams and butterflies illuminating the area. Peeking inside, there are three women... like fairy godmothers... cleaning and cooking and singing. Singing this song. That’s what I see in my head. 😉🥰

@x0thorn0x You've a vivid imagination. That could be a scene in a movie, or as the prelude to the actual song, music playing, no words yet, humming the tune, and then they begin to sing the lyrics as you peek in the window. And it's the opening scene of a 40's era movie during WWII. I'll have my people call your people and we'll see if we can put an idea together for a storyboard and maybe a screen play! 😉
