They'll connect to something. It's definitely not gonna be what they wanna connect to. Also, an altar can be simple, but it needs to be special and appropriate for the deity/ies being venerated.

Yes, a real practioneer takes decades to learn so many healing arts-astrology, herbs as medicine, energy healing (Reiki), psychology, hydrotherapy, quantum physics, sacred geometry, light and frequency healing (Royal Rife machine) (hope to have one) ect so these silly kids are ridic. And no humbleness, they use it as an ego trip

Well said, the thing is they don’t even read a book! I have come in contact with a coven recently thats been ‘active’ for at least 2 years, and have a complete hierarchy from high priestess to priestess, etc. and they only perform sabbats and have never done any lunar work, never mind spell work. And none of them are initiated or dedicated ! And there’s no training. I told them to get a wiccan book and work through that, at least then they will cover the basics and have at least a better understanding. Ive been a wiccan for more than 25 years and seeing this was a bad case of spiritual indigestion, and an insult to any serious wiccans. And there is many of these ones on you tube. Actions speaks louder than fantasy .. just more infatuated wannabe’s. I dont bother to waste my time with them. It takes dedication, commitment, its hard work, and its not for everyone.

Exactly! Try asking them the difference between a high priestess and a priestess. They don't know! I can relate to your comment. The only saving grace I guess, is that they accomplish nothing, other than banging on a drum and getting high. To each their own, but don't run that by me as being serious.

Literally the most classist thing I've ever heard. 🙄

And it literally has nothing to do with class.

@@DeborahKeleman Yet it had everything to do with money. People can only do so much within their means. Sure, if the goddess statue is wrong that's likely not their fault and more of the Amazon seller who named it incorrectly. But the TV tray issue can't be helped for some. My first altar was tiny little table. Some people's altars are altoid tins and that's okay because that's all they can afford. I give my deities fucking acorns and leaves. And people back then put offerings in the ground. You're telling people to do their research, while in the same breath, shaming them for their "terrible" altars.

Some people think a devotional table is a Wiccan Altar, it is a very nice idea but its not the same thing
