This is a fantastic soundbar… I got it refurbished. However after a couple month’s the center tweeter and left speaker stopped working period. Dialogue mode was completely broken. However, with that it still sounded good and MUCH better broken, than my Vizio V-Series factory speakers. When this thing is firing on all speakers it’s fantastic and BOSE dialogue mode on this is is unmatched on even more expensive units for clarity… even at extremely low volumes it keeps a rich balanced sound profile. I think Bose has a manufacturing defect with these because I’ve noticed many people reviewing this online and they have broken unit’s and because they haven’t heard it they don’t know?! I know because dialogue mode is trash when that tweeter goes out but it’s still better than factory TV speaker’s. For the price this should last at least 5-10yrs. I hope Bose fixes this issue… starting to get worried they just don’t care and hope your warranty expires before their product does. Now I’m supposed to be getting a brand new unit from Bose but (their customer service sounded kinda shady) until I get the new unit and test it compared to how the other one worked before it broke I don’t know if I can recommend. Again, I did buy it refurbished (actually sold as new on EBay) and it worked for couple months fantastic, so this could be the seller pulling some refurb scam. But I can say when this works there’s no better all around speaker for great full stereo and AAAAMMAZING dialogue mode with CRYSTAL CLEAR clarity!!!

Hi, I am a UK viewer of your video. I returned a SONOS Beam, as I thought the difference between the sound bar and TV was not worth £399, and I appreciate that people hear sound in various ways. The Bose TV sound bar is getting good reviews, but I fear I will have the same problem. Maybe my ears aren't discernible enough. Any advice please. Many thanks Terry Davis

I would say go for a budget speaker there is not a lot I tried without subwoofers. But I would go with the Samsung hw t-450. If you don’t want one with a sub I haven’t tried much of them yet. If you can get this sound bar around $200ish around Black Friday time that will be a great pick up and I think you will be happy. But for me I have been using the Roku sound bar for a year now. Also check out the new JBL soundbar

I would go with the Sony with the sub for less. I haven’t tried it but if you can get a sub I say go for it.

I like the idea of the sound bar boosting the dialogue. So many home theater systems drown out the dialogue behind the music. I hate that. I’m going to be starting almost from scratch putting a home theater set up together. I had a nice high current receiver but it bit the dust. That’s ok. It was old technology. I’m going to be on the market for a new receiver in addition to the speakers and a blu ray machine. I have Polk Audio, Studio Studio Monitor 10, speakers. They’re old but there’s nothing wrong with them. They’re great speakers for music. I want to get stuff that will work with them. A subwoofer is not a high priority in the near future. It’s going to be down the road a ways so something with decent bass Is important. There’s no substitute for a real subwoofer for a realistic experience but some things just have to wait. I’ll be watching a lot of reviews before I make final decisions.

I think it will only work with bose subs. I'm only going on a good amount of brands only allow their own sub to work with sound bars

I have problem if i watching movie, if i turn up the volume to hear dialogue the background get even louder and voice still can't heard, if turn on dialogue mode the background still sound louder then the voice or not? Because i'm worried if dialogue mode just make voice clear but background sound still louder then the voice, it still won't solve the problem. I hope you can help me answer my question, because i want buy this soundbar but still worried about that.

Yes I believe the dialogue is effective on the Soundbar and will help with that issue for you. It will get the words to pop over the music and effects. But I also like the Roku smart Soundbar for a half the price has a pretty decent dialogue boost as well. Plus you get the streaming stick built into the Soundbar.
