In the first story, what u should really do IF you want to help someone who has a car broken down at the middle of the night, you should call the police first and then when they arrive you should help them.

I've been in a situation once or twice where I broke down on the side of the road, and a kind stranger or two stops to help. It was much appreciated and I'm glad they didn't think maliciously of me. I've also stopped to help some strangers on a few occasions, and I'm surr they appreciated it too. Does this mean you should help everyone? No. does this mean you should be afraid of everyone? no. The idea is to be balanced and exercise sound judgment in each individual situation.

That's what pickup trucks are supposed to be for: To safely segregate the driver, and the hitchhikers from eachother, without it being "awkward", whilst still being Christian. Pickup trucks are like corsets - they provide "barrier" protection (sorry to word it like that!) to both parties involved in potential problems between the other. No form of risk to either party. Seemingly a forgotten art of cohesiveness.
