I haven't really said this yet but your probably the youtuber who influenced me most to get into after effects! You got me to do two of my finals and several of my projects for school in after effects, but I should have looked up how to do auto trace lol, because I spent 50 hrs redrawing and animating gun patents for my final.

@@TipTut Agree! I was looking for "How to Use Animate CC" tutorials and other videos I saw were long or complicated. Your Animate tutorial series were short and straight-to-the-point!

Excited about this book! Will check it out in the next few days. Also, will you ever be selling that hoodie as a merch? I'd get it in a heartbeat haha...
@TipTut5 жыл бұрын
Thankyou! I'd love to get them set up as merch, but currently the costs are so high! It would be £95 per hoodie! I am looking for cheaper, but still quality options.

@@TipTut Oof! Well, let us know if you do manage to find a more affordable option. Have been eyeing your hoodie since you first wore it a year or two ago haha..

Saved this and I'll give it a thorough read and fill in the form this evening or tomorrow. Some minor things I noticed about the main design at a quick glance: - Fontwise, I like that you have a "comical handwritten" font, which enhances the "handdrawn" aspects to it. But I have the feeling using an initial with a cursive text can cause some trouble losing readability at the start of the paragraph. For example, on page 46, you have an initial but without cursive text, which has a bit more harmony. - At some pages, the body text is outlined and at some other pages it's not (mind about rivers and orphans as well where possible). Happy to see that the punctuation marks are hung (don't know how you call that in english, but they're coming outside the body text, so that's cool) - The content page's and chapter element page's title and body text look a bit too similar in fontsize for my personal taste (making it a bit crowded. Not sure if it looks that crowded on print though, so it could just be a personal thing). I believe you'll have the pagenumbers organized according to the icon of the content page, cool idea, but I wonder if you've already played around with the idea of referring to the page number on the chapter element page? - Just a personal thing, but I like to put acronyms (like CMYK, RGB, CSS...) in small caps. To each it's own. - On page 13, the coloured words get a bit difficult to read in some colours, plus it makes it a bit too crowded to have them coloured imo. The coloured dots above those texts allready help out with the visuals and I think that's just enough. - On page 16, you have a advice in a different colour, if this is a meant as a quote, it could use some quote marks to bring the point across a bit more. - Pages 20 - 27, I wonder how those pages would look without the borders each segment has. I'm pretty sure you've already tried that with and without and went this way. You prolly but them in columns to have a better flow because of the colour transition to the next segment. But maybe if you have 2 rows on each page without the borders, it can breath a bit more and increase your text width. It feels a bit too "prisony" with the boxed header in combination with the borders. (The fanta logo also still has it's white background on page 20, compared to all the other logos not having a white background) - On page 31, the brightness/lightness graphic is a bit messy? The two bars don't align properly (could be because of it being a pdf which sometimes have this effect, but even when I zoomed in, the two bars are a pixel "off") Could be on my end though. Next to that, pure designwise, it's one of the best pages there when it comes to breathing and composition. So that's just a small nitpick there All in all a bit of small finetuning and personal taste. But in overall it's coming along very nicely, your hard work is paying off. When all of this is finished, I'm sure this project will be one of your most memorable things and a new milestone as in your life as an artist. Keep up the good work, it's gonna be busy times, but when all of this is done it will be worth the hastle. Rome wasn't built in one day ;) Good luck!
