I just found out that another way to give support is to let the commercials run at least 30 seconds, or let the commercials run all the way through if they are less than 30 seconds. This allows a little monetary support each time a commercial comes on. It’s not a lot of money per commercial by all means,, but it’s something,, and if each person did it anytime a commercial came on, it adds up.
@elvisiscat3 жыл бұрын
Also I noticed that if I watch a commercial until the end (most commercials aren’t long), a 2nd commercial comes on right afterwards which is also very short, so that’s another way to give more support. Even better to engage with the commercials when interested.

This is one of the best vocal coaches I’ve seen on KZbin, everything he’s saying in the captions is exactly what my vocal coach and my professors in my musical theatre class say, he makes it very easy to understand as well, although he doesn’t exactly explain why you need to do certain things, the things he is telling you to do are all great for vocal health and minimizing tension!

I'm starting off again to try and get my voice back so Mark was great and found my fave pt vocal video when I posted on his, kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZqDVaoNuYtl1p5o video, for me great combo. So, my bad habit of not taking things slow (these two are enough for me and it's 3:16am and so I can't do the Humming video as I should..Mark suggests an hr. I"ve been consistent doing it for several nights for an 1/2hr - for me that's good for me and I honestly say the 1/2hr there's improvement.) I see this and think, "yeah, I want a smooth voice" as it wobbles during the other exercises, yeah yeah, I know..find out the obvious, I'm not ready for this, so the thumbs down are imo, people who like me want to jump ahead of where they are and want ::snap:: instant ready to sing smooth and their not, now there's a lesson not just for singing, apply it to the way you live your life. okay off to bed I go ~ however one spent this day of giving thanks, hope you were keeping yourself and others safe from covid-19. 💖

So down about this, feels "immasculating" as a singer (is there a word like that for women?) Nothing seems to really help, on keto and ACV apple cider vinegar/lemon juice/ginger/electrolytes/no sugar now, that helped reduce/remove drinking usually only water, still quite a lot of dairy in my keto diet - hard to do without it 😳. Humming and conscious relaxation seem a good start. Open to suggestions...I can't even sing or record my own gorgeous original songs at the moment. 😭🎶❤️

It took about 4 years for Mark's videos to pop up on my feed. Not sure why it took so long, but I'm so glad they finally did. I didn't even finish the first video before I was convinced I had a new favorite channel. Thanks to Mark for putting up such helpful content without a bunch of fluff/subscription requests. Simply awesome. Cheers.

I've been doing this almost everyday for a few weeks and this focus on volume is REALLY helping me move forward. Another video of yours convinced me that I've had a disproportionate focus on pitch, and it was time to focus on other elements of my voice. Pitch has been especially frustrating for me because I have worked on it so much that I can now name every interval within 2 octaves of one another (by ear) but I often can't sing a single note on pitch even when it's my sole focus. I've honestly shed tears over it. The beauty here is that since working on volume, my pitch has also improved. I'm experiencing some exciting break-throughs over here after feeling quite stuck for a while. Can't thank you enough. I hope to do some 1 on 1 training with you some day. Thanks again Mark. I think I'm gonna go buy your book now. Cheers!

@@joshuasturgeon9028 Pitch issues are a symptom of a physical imbalance - not bad musicianship. That's why making your volume more intentional helped your pitch accuracy. You were always thinking the right note - now you're also creating the environment that allows what you're thinking to come through! Win/Win
