Hi, Paul. Those skills depend on the firm you are being an EIR for. For example, some not-for-profit startup advisory firms take on EIRs and the skill set is less stringent than working as an EIR for a venture capital firm. In general an EIR has experience as a startup founder. They have experience in developing businesses through market research, designing products, raising capital, etc.
