Then bring the bishop and you got backed-up x-rays to the king and the black bishop on the other side, that's scary!). On another note: The london player should just sack the pawn and get a knight to B5 to attack C7. Another note: 3:30 you can see, that black is completely underdeveloped and if white plays knights and bishops instead of pawns, it's game over for black. 4:24: How about queen B6?

I always double tripe check moves and try to force "good-looking" moves even though I don't spot anything. after watching my video, I started trying to make my thoughts clear and have improved on-time management a lot, it felt insane. thanks for doing what you do!
@riomelbueno3823 жыл бұрын
What usually works for me against the London system is c5 on move 2 then delaying the capture of d4. I capture d4 after casting short. I do this because I feel like black's position is very fragile on closed plays. It's like one move and white gets +3 LOL so I try to settle first before breaking everything open.
@Bulldogg64043 жыл бұрын
I don't play London, so maybe my comment will show how little I fully understand it, but I remember learning at club that a fair trade of the dark-squared bishop is usually beneficial for White. In that sense, at 30:21, I would totally understand playing [5.Bxb8]. My feeling for the position is that you'll get an even trade of material, prevent the [6...e5] fork, get rid of the bad bishop that will be trapped in front of your pawn structure in the next few positional moves, and (perhaps most importantly) prevent Black from castling Queenside after [5...Rxb8], which allows you to better anticipate Black's defensive options. So while I agree that White should still be unhappy about losing so many tempos, I don't quite see the position being clearly better for Black, either.

Hey Levy, I have to share a recent experence of mine, because it wouldnt happen wout you. Actually I was quitting tournament chess like 7 years before. I was a ~1900 rated player, walking through all the youth tournaments and many international tournaments, I could even participate at European Championship which is amongst my best memories of my life. At around getting into university I felt saturation and I almost like quitted chess totally, only some National Division 2-3 games have been played/years, with less than more success. But This Spring, one of my friends started to inquire about chess and asked me for some parties, he sent me many tutorial videos, asking for my opinion and etc and I saw how insanely the ‘chess world’ changed. It gave me a huge push to start again. I was and English player with white, but I decided that I am going to totally renew my repertoire and refresh my knowledge. I switched back to e4 openings, because it gives the real joy of a chess match, I kept my main weapon Caro-Kann as black and I also added some new alternatives, mainly from youtube. It is insane to see how far you can get just by learning from KZbin. In our times it was unimagineable!! , like people, what is going on? Learning for free dozens of lines you and surely even your opponents never heard about... well all I want to say is I was always struggling against d4, and now I have well-built lines against it, when even 2000+ players are struggling against. I just arrived home from an international competition, I was playing in a very good form, even reaching the top tables and playing against my 2400 rated master. At the very last round I played this f6 line against this disgusting London system, where I played one of my best matches ever. Actually it ended with 2 kings after 260 minutes, only I can be blamed for that, but the battle was so intense. After g6 my 2000+ rated opponent thought he won, I saw his face, and just after Bf5 everything he thought changed. It was crazy to see. At the point when just 2 kings remained, all the people in the hall applauded. I never experienced anything like it before. So I would like to say a massive thank you for all your work. And not only for you, for everyone who is doing this for the people, all the content creators.

5. f6 feels uncomfortable, but evaluation confirms it's not that bad. Willing to try this one day. PS: Awaiting Agadmator response :)

Interesting that Levy destroyed agadmator's Anti-London and now he shows another Anti-London.😄 Nice video! I love your chess content!

Why did you have to release this today Gotham?! Of course today was the day I decided to play my first chess tactic and it was the London system 😭😂

I loved this video! It's given me hope against that miserable London System. I like it but dread worrying about the Q5h check constantly. Still it's worth it - many great ideas Levy, thank you much.

Day 92: Of requesting Levy to cover opposite coloured bishop endgames. Especially when you have a slight material advantage of being up by two or three pawns against your opponent and you both have opposite coloured bishops as well.

make it one pawn :)

If bxe5, then you take back with knight. Whites queen can check on h5 and then win the knight. Am I missing something? Referring to 3:50.

Looking at 4:15, why would it be good for black's knight to take the bishop? Doesn't that just open the h file for white? I know in other lines white will try to provoke black's bishop to capture in that same spot to open up for the rook

25:11 what does white after Qa5 Nc3 Bb4 ? The knight is attacked twice, and of you defend It, you loose the Bishob after I took on c3

Levi: We are going to play the move f6, and now you see the point! Me: No? Levi: We are delaying the movement of our knight! Me: Oh yeah of course, great!

Would have loved to see white play c4 x d5 at 17:00. It'd sac a bishop, but that pawn would be a MONSTER.

24:40 isn't Qf3 a good move here? Because if Levy played E5 opponent could take the pawn with the bishop since the pawn that's defending is pinned.
