Thats why top players dont play open tournaments . Lots of 2500-2600 have potential. But they dont get much opportunities . Previously a 2500 GM absolutely crushed Magnus in classical . And now in rapid as well , a 2500 gm defeated magnus . As a chess fan , its delightful to watch such games , seeing potential of such grandmasters.

1) An 18 yo non established player wins the world championship ---> shorter formats are a better way to test chess skills, classical is just mugging moves. 2) Top players start getting crushed by some random 18 YOs in rapid and blitz. ---> Chess is dying, and random chess should be the right way of deciding world champion. Conclusion: start challenging the rules when someone overpowers you under the same rules you played for decades. When some ""world's best player"" won multiple wc titles, no one was questioning, now suddenly everyone woke up. 😂😂 Bloody clowns. Why no one supported fisher when he was ending his carrier, these so called top players were enjoying the taste of world champion title. 😂😂😂 Cry about it and fight with FIDE. That's the only way for you to stay relevant.
