I moved back to the USA after 32years of working/living overseas. I conducted a nation wide search with a very defined list of things I wanted and things I did not want. I even had a grading system. I narrowed it down to 4 finalist. Scottsdale, Arizona was my final choice. We built a home in Troon North - Talus and have not regretted our decision once. We have a child so schools on our list. I am originally from the Southwestern part of the USA but lived in New England for a couple of years. Arizona is a fine place to live.

Wow! Could you possibly share your list with me? I'm trying to find a good place for our family and I'm really stumped!
@butch1102513 жыл бұрын
@@AprilJoi5 The list greatly depends on what you are looking for. Single family home, suburbs and your price range. I wanted a vacant lot, on a golf course with unlimited time and restrictions to build. Low crime rates and excellent school system was high on my list. I did not want an area with access by public transportation. I needed a place far away from freeways or main access roadways. Preferably limited sign boards and intrusive advertizing/billboards. Limited or no above ground electric or telephone wires. Good roads and bridges. Newly developed area. Close proximity to international airport. I live in far NE Scottsdale in Pinnacle Peak area.

The news got out about Scottsdale in 2020 when every state was looking to move from their home state and moved here. I bought in 2018 when it was still cheap. I’m very happy I did.😃 I’m making a bundle on my investment. People have a misconception it’s always hot. I can take 3.5 months a year of horribly hot weather. I dealt with 7 months of horrible weather in NY for 57 years. The weather is amazing here always sunny. I love it. Great restaurants and shopping. Golf is everywhere. You can exercise outdoors year round you just need to change the time of day.

The first time I went to Scottsdale last March, I didn't see it as Snobsdale. I went back in October and discovered Snobsdale for some reason. Bad timing or I was more observant.

My two cities are Scottsdale or Kirkland WA. Scottsdale prices blows those prices out of the water.

I grew up in Kirkland. Beautiful city but really pricey homes and overall cost of living, tons of traffic and way too much rain for my liking.
