Wanted Her To Leave

Abbie had a great time at therapy walking to the park and going on the swings. She wanted her ABA Therapist to leave before it started looking like work. Priscilla struggles with voice assistants. We are getting ready to go to Surfers For Autism this weekend!

You're NEVER too old to swing!!! My mom surprised me with a "glider" bench seat for our patio, it looks like a regular bench but it rocks back and forth like a swing. I LOVE IT

I’m an ABA therapist and my kiddos do this to me ALL the time . I think it’s so funny. Some of them even put my bag on my hand and walk me to the door .... keep posting ABA videos we love them !!

I'm watching your videos in order and I must say the progress you all have made is amazing! I just finished 2 the ABA videos around the time of the chicken dance video, I believe. I enjoy your videos. My youngest brother has a small case of autism, and has beaten every single thing that the doctors have said he never would do. 🎉🎉🎉 Yay!!! Congrats!! I've lost 40 lbs Cilla and my BP went from 180/120 to 128/86 and I'm SO excited! Keep it up! You've been such an encouragement to me and have kept me pushing on, 70 lbs to go! I have lupus, lung issues, etc and weight loss is slow going for me but I feel like it's a challenge I'm doing along with you! Thanks for putting yourself out there and your honesty. When I'm feeling down, I'll watch your videos and it will cheer me up. There is this wonderful, young lady at my church, she is 92, who has a huge issue when they take her blood pressure; if they take it with the automatic machine, it looks like her BP is sky high, but as soon as they use the manual one, it's perfectly fine. My sons Sir I has a Gaelic accent. It is to funny. I need to get my passport will be moving to Washington state and family wants to go on holiday to Canada. Priscilla, have you tried the ravioli and it didn't set well or are you steering away from them because of the carbs? After almost 3 yrs post WLS, I adopted the "all things in moderation" approach. I find if I deny myself of something completely, I tend to overindulge. But, if I count the specks of just 1 into my available numbers for the day, that small taste satisfies me as much as a plate full have pre WLS. Just a tip that may work with or for you, that way your meals are a much smaller part of the family's meal, but still included in what they are having.

I have a 15 year old with autism, we live in Washington state and at 12 or 13 they have full control with mental health so when we did try a therapy program (wrap around program), and he would be non cooperative they would just leave and say he is choosing to not have therapy today. Is this something you have heard about and do you know anything else we can do. It’s not safe letting someone with extreme developmental delays and meltdowns and tantrums to have total control in this area
