@@jared2244 In the Quraan Allah says this life of ours on earth is a test for hereafter.World will definitely be a better place if people have the right faith as God(Allah) prescribed it for humanity but it won't become perfect ie without any suffering(fear, disease,pain,death etc) bcoz in such a case there won't be any test left. Allah tells us further that each n every pain n suffering we endure in this life will be rewarded with bounties in the hereafter provided one is a believer(Imaan ie belief n worship 1 n only true God). Please try reading Quraan's authentic translation n consult some acclaimed scholar if u have queries or questions !!!

@@jared2244 U have raised some valid problems regarding the Muslim communities around the world but it doesn't n shudnt mean the message is invalid or not from God. May be majority of innumerable sects of Christians r better humans than others now but historically maximum violence n attrocities has been committed in the name of Christianity most western scholars agree. Head of the Catholic Church is a sincere n kind hearted person in my opinion but Iam sure u must have heard about child abuses around the world by priests n others. The point is human beings can n do have all sorts of shortcomings which shud not be attributed to any faith or community. As for as extremism n terrorism is concerned it has absolutely nothing to do with any faith whatsoever least of all Islaam. Terrorism has roots in politics n the feelings of being wronged,abused and coerced into immoral n illegal submission like Neo-Colonialism.Various examples can be given from recent history ie Gulf Wars on blatantly criminal naked lies n the perpetual crimes of the Israeli regime against the occupied people supported aided n abbetted by the West !!!

In my society, there are not many reverts, but comers back to Islam. Over here, cultural Muslim community, which is actually either atheist or just formal Muslims, they make fun of those practicing and your family kicks you out of a house. So, it's also giving up a lot and going through a lot if you decide to start practicing Islam in full. Sometimes, actually in many cases, practicing family tends to blindly follow traditional rules and not checking out whether it's in accordance to Qur'an and Sunnah. If anyone tries to correct them, especially with superstitions they say something like: you're fanatic, you're changing Islam, it's always been like this...
