I am sorry friend but all those tribes you are refeering to (Macedonians, Thracians, Illyrians etc.) are all Greek. In Ancient Greece there wasn't a unified country, to be refered to, they were all called by their city-state they were originated from. Also wars between Greek city-states was something common at the time, just like the war between Athenians and Spartans, which is well-known and they study the tactics that were used at these wars till today, that doesn't change the fact that it was Greek. Just a simple question for you: Does the name Alexander has a real meaning in your languange? Hence he maintained what his father created -The Corinthian League aka the League of Corinth, after the site where Greek city-states signed to become allies of the Macedonians in the campaign against Persia. Only Lacedaemon did not join the Corinthian League with Philip and Alexander. They would later when a Macedonian Army was sent to ravage their fields and villages, and after some fierce battles were forced to sign into the League of Corinth. Think about it. Would Athenians or Thebans or willingly submit to a Macedonian King? No. Rather after being defeated at Chaeronea, they were to join the League that Philip created and send troops into Asia to defeat the Persians. Alexander crowned himself Emperor of Asia, King of Persia, Pharoh of Egypt. That much is true. But not Emperor of he Hellenes for that would invite rebellion. He was Captain-General of the Hellenic forces.
