Wanting to Cry, I Pretend to Be a Cat ( A Whisker Away -2020) - [Anime recap]

Today Meta Anime is going to explain an animated romance fantasy film directed by Junichi Sato called A Whisker Away (泣きたい私は猫をかぶる - Nakitai Watashi wa Neko o Kaburu).
Mio Sasaki is an energetic high school girl who comes from a broken family consisting of her unconfident father and an overly invested stepmother, whose attempts at connecting with Mio come across as bothersome. Seeing Kento Hinode as a refuge from all her personal issues, she can't help herself from forcing her unorthodox demonstrations of love onto her crush.
While Miyo is unable to get Kento's attention as herself, she manages to succeed by interacting with him in the form of a white cat, affectionately nicknamed "Tarou" by Kento. But Mio soon realizes that she can't help Kento with the various problems she overhears in her cat form and is now caught between two tough choices. Will she continue her relationship with him as a cat, or will she reveal her identity and risk what they have, in order to help him as her human self?

I like the lesson and the plot except the way how Taro actually seem too much on how she flirts with Hinode especially since children who will watch this might actually think it's fine to act that way towards your crush.

Makes me think about highschool and how i had this absolutely pretty girl who fancied me and i could not for the life of me connect with her I was so akward. Our personal lifes were so far away from each other, maybe if she had lived in the same neighborhood and not halfway across time and we got to spend more time around eqch other i could have really made a realtionship with her.
