This is great with a simple explanation. Good job, thank you!

Thank you. That is a really kind comment. I try to put together videos that look at a single concept or idea. I also do my best to try and address it from a skill and craft POV and not a simple list of things. Though I have done a few to try and please the KZbin machine. I really appreciate you spending time to comment. Thanks again. PS: If there is anything you’d like discussed on the channel let me know.

Great advice, Craig! I really like the "water, artwork" example. Wants and Needs are so important, but I don't hear a lot about them. I try to figure out a protagonist's Want and Need up front. Knowing them makes writing the script so much easier.

It is a real bonus know a need. If actions align with “needs” the audience will be 100% in. Especially if it something they would do. If you know the needs of the protagonist and the antagonist you will know who will quick first. The most base need will be the last to quit. Thanks for the comment.

@@craig.d.griffiths You're welcome. "If you know the needs of the protagonist and the antagonist you will know who will quick first. The most base need will be the last to quit." Thanks for the advice. I'm outlining a script, and I'm sure the advice will come in handy.

@@screenwritermauricevaughan Thanks Maurice, I was chatting with someone who said they have been told their stories lack weight. I suggested that threaten the character’s life. No one wants characters to die.
