As far as the WAQF is concerned , In India, the act and the board are Consumerist in nature and are used more as an asset management company. The is Zero ecological or non-consumerist perspective. They are ranked 3 in the landmass that they have in India post Indian Army, and Indian Railways both of which are government institutions. Wakf Boards currently control 8.7 lakh properties spanning 9.4 lakh acres across India with an estimated value of 1.2 lakh crores.
