And if you turn away, He will replace you with another people; then they will not be the likes of you. Everyone from the creation is poor, only Allah is wealthy. The ‘wealth’ some amass in the dunya is not even comparable to what Allah has in store for believers, from them those who avoid RIBA and choose to rent instead. and Allah knows best.

I have seen many Muslim brothers and Sisters working in high paying jobs having a healthy lifestyle they are openly and aggressively defending the Financial system, endorsing mortgages going to an extent saying such thing as riba mentioned in the Quran is different from interest in todays banking and financial institutions. Additionally, they say our ulema know nothing about modern economic system rather giving us opinion on that, they should focus talking about ethics, morality and good conduct. Listening to all of these counter arguments I find my self in agony and frustration..

Ask the bank to see if they can stop giving you interest if not then give away the interest you make to charity (although this will not be counted as charity but rather a mitigation of haram). Please do further research online. May Allah protect us all and forgive us all.

I agree with this video to a point however we live in a time where we have no choice. No one will marry their daughters off to someone who rents and has no money o certainly wouldn't maybe that's why Allah hasn't given me daughters. Also Allah promises in the quaran that he will destroy money and wealth that has come from Riba. Well we had a pandemic and Melbourne and Sydney house prices didn't fall on fact they increased. So Maybe Allah has lost control of Australian housing market or maybe it will crash in like 300 years I'll be dead by then so whatever. In all honesty Allah could rain down fire on Melbourne and Sydney and the markets won't drop. Owning a home is everything in this life without it you are nothing. The prophet mohammad owned his house so therefore it makes it a necessity. And finally the one who takes riba or earns money from haram has there duas rejected. Well all my earnings are halal I have worked very hard for my small amount of wealth yet Allah doesn't answer my duas so what difference does it make. I am open for discussion here on this topic.

I think you realize that the message of this video is quite unrealistic. I will post my comment from above: This video is very misleading. Riba was really about financial exploitation. At the time of the prophet, moneylenders exploited poor debtors, dispossessing them of their land and cattle and selling them into slavery - which is why it was prohibited. Riba was like loan sharks and predatory lending today. interest in modern regulated financial markets is not riba. Millions of people and thousands of businesses benefit from lending and borrowing. Millions of pensioners benefit from pension funds invested in bonds.

There are apparently lots of Islamic banks in some countries. But they just charge interest another way through fees or a markup on what you are buying or financing. You are no further ahead dealing with them so I agree with you, the talk is unrealistic. But perhaps some people like to deal with terms in Arabic and deal with other Muslims, thats OK.

Redeagle Any loan with interest, no matter what, is absolutely not permissible in Islam as explained in the video. It’s been said that a time will come when holding on to ones Islam would be like holding on to a hot coal. The land we live in turns more and more sinful as days pass. The non believers are trying to make sins right and vise versa. Lots of Muslims are falling into sin (ie mortgage & car loans) very easily. This I believe is the main reason for the reminder video.
